I've just got back home after purchasing CitiesXL this morning. Loaded the game, registered a username and password and......... nothing! No confirmation email, no activation email, no nothing. So, I'm sat here after waiting over a year to buy and play this game looking at a £29.99 box that I can't even play. I hate the fact that you have to register to play a game. Why can you not simply play it 'out of the box'.
