i know all that, but: -first, i don't have CC yet coz i got a new laptop, and installed the game, but i couldn't get back the already downloaded CC, so it's probable that i won't post more until i get more Bats and lots. besides i got my CitiesXL key and i'll be tweaking around with it. -secondly, STEX downloads are slow as hell, and i don't have the time to wait for them to get finished. and i'm trying to get the LBT bats from another community (a spanish one which actually is where they started) i'm not new in Simtropolis, i've been around since almost 2 years, but i'd never tried to participate on the community. thanks a lot. i'll be trying to improve those details, so if you liked the story stay around. it has just begun.

Entry #2 Town had grown it's double since its foundation, but mostly wrong. The lack of planification and order had left poor neighborhoods, with commercial zones where prostitution and illegal mercancy could be found in every corner. Altough cops had succeded from keeping violence out of the "Safe" neighborhoods, it wasn't enough and if this situation would continue, the city was destinated to become a deadtown. The strike begun. People claimed that the city had to be "Rearranged", the unsafe neighborhoods had to be eliminated, and replaced with more organized blocks, with more cops and fire coverage, besides to give them basic services that were lacking, like water. after weeks of protests, and threatening to make a sabotage to the ports and surrounding industry; the Mayor Amaia Young, agreed to ask resources to re-establish the town. in two weeks the works started, firstly replacing the downtown, by a main block where the main police dept. and fire dept. would be, to have more coverage around the town. so the city hall, the main public school (both basic and high) and a central plaza under the name of Simón Bolivar's square. between all this, some commercial areas were zoned and everything was surrounded by residences, and the unsafe neighborhoods were removed. After the "Main Square" was finished, the improvement was clear. Land Value increased drastically, basic services were stablished, police coverage was improved, but mainly, Ojeda City started to be seen as a good place to live. new families flocked into the city, and some of them didn't had to do anything with oil-industry. This was the start of Ojeda City, as a real city. Altough the city grew correctly, new troubles were right across the corner. the town had 6000 inhabitants and jobs started to lack. the government decided to place new commercial zones, but for some reason there were more unemployed people, who had previously had job. they claimed they were fired with no apparent reason. something was going on with the american industries. The mayor ordered to investigate to investigate the transnational corporations. After checking the recent hirings of the companies it was known that they were replacing local workers with emigrant workers from europe and america, to use their already adquired skills instead of investing in a training program for new workers, which was stablished by the law. they communicated the situation to the presidence, and they inmediatly ordered the re-establishment of the fired workers. the company allegated that they weren't forced to do it by the law, and the congress wrote that by every emigrant worker hired, there must be 3 local workers. companies refused to hire the fired workers and asked support from the american government, to resolve the fight the situation. the venezuelan government shutted down two factories, which caused a furious reaction by the american government, and 3 days after they ordered the attack of the town. people ran away from the town, and a 2 day "mini-war" developed in town. destruction was inminent. The two embassies agreed to stop the fight. part of the american companies were transfered to the venezuelan government, but in change, they had to admit the hiring of inmigrants, and the foundation of a american army-base, and a residential zone only for american workers. in order to stop the destruction of the town, the venezuelan government agreed. The base was done in couple months, using an industrial zone, and made avenues in the limits to restring access. along with the base they build a plane landing, and a private port, along with a research center, an embassy, and a federal prison. the residence was made a month later. The city had 8250 inhabitants and had 18 years of foundation This is the end of entry #2 Off-Story Firstly, the war stuff is not real, but it could had happened. anyways, it's not ment to be polemical, i'll be updating it soon.

History In 1950, Venezuela was a pure agricultural country. this, was the only earns of the country, since the existence of petroleum in the country was unknown. But all that changed in 1960, when american investors came to the region of "Zulia", in theseeking of oil. They drilled and drilled for months, hoping that at some point, they would find the precious oil. Already hopeless, they were ready to leave the region, until one of the holes they had made blew into a giant blast of a black liquid. It was oil. the explotion lasted 3 days, but this picture is what remains. Thousands of workers went to the little town "Lakenille", looking forward to get a job in the newly-born industry, but that little town wasn't ready to receive so many people, and in just 2 moths, the town duplicated its size, alltough it wasn't enough. The town had a small residencial area, although it had some big mansions, where the chiefs lived, most of the population lived in misery, and a rare virus was attacking people. It had a large farming zone, and some little industries, due to the wave of workers. An avenue was built to transport workers from the town, to the shore, where the port was,and so the oil, but they had to travel for hours to get there, losing great amount of time. Besides, the conditios of the town were every time worse, and a lot of workers were diying. Something had to be done, so in 1968, the president Marcus Peter, signed an order to build a new town, Right in front of the oceans, and inmediatly next to the ports and the oil extractors. A new town was born. Ojeda City was the name that the workers choosed, in honor to the spanish explorer "Alonso de Ojeda". soon after, the blueprints of town organization were made, and the workers theirselves, started building up a small city, which suddenly would become a supermetropolis. It was small and straight, had two divided residencial zones, and one commercial in the middle, and the shore was occupated by industries, because the city wasn't planned to be turistic, and people only wanted to cross couple streets to make their way to work. Workers didn't live alone. they brought their families and that formed a very familiar and friendly neighboorhood to grow up in, besides everyone knew each other, so crime wasn't a problem. Not everything was work. weekends, people would reunite in a park, or in the boulevards of the commercial area, to make grills,hamburgers and have a good time. altough the jobs didn't pay off well, people was happy and safe. Off-Story As you see, this is my first CJ, so be kind. somehow I know i'm screwing it up. but here it goes. firstly i have to thank NHP guys for making the Cannes map, which is the one i'm using, but it doesn't matter anyways. i'm also using the RadicalOrdinance V2, because i have to create a quick developing town because the story it's based on that. the town develops quick because there is oil and factories and stuff. and NAM. Some of the facts in this story are real, like the explotion of oil, which was called "Barrozo #2", and the picture is real too. the town lakenille existed as well under the name of "Lagunillas", so Lakenille it's a cheap translation of it. City Ojeda it's also real, but it isn't a "metropolis", it's a small city located in the eastern shore of the Maracaibo's Lake, in the state Zulia, Venezuela. when it was founded 70 years before, it was tought to be a super city, but corruption and irresponsable governaments had left the town in misery, as well. this is a real photo of this town. The oil industry in venezuela it's one of the biggest in the world, and it all started in this cities. I'll continue the story in a couple of days. Thanks.

ok, i have a "illegal" copy of simcity 4, not because i want, it's because a live in some country called: Venezuela, in here the game it's not avaible in stores so i have to "illegaly" dowload it. the trouble is: that i want to learn how to do buildings with the BAT. 1.
