    Deep Thought's Answer
  1. "Insert Disk" Error

Yeah I bought the game from Walmart (.com).
  2. "Insert Disk" Error

The update doesn't matter because I can't even open the game up after installation
  3. "Insert Disk" Error

There are 2 disks for Deluxe and you have to use both of them for installation.
  4. "Insert Disk" Error

I just installed the game in the DVD drive and it still didn't work. What else can I do? Does this mean I have to buy a whole new game?
  5. "Insert Disk" Error

It is the original disk, that is what I don't get. It is a newer version because I just bought it a little over a year ago. My DVD drive is a bit weird. Should I try it in the DVD drive anyways?
  6. Hi, A few weeks ago, my computer was completely redone and reformatted, etc., so I lost everything. I used to have Windows XP Home, but now I have Windows XP Pro. I just got around to installing Simcity 4 Deluxe again. It installed fine, but it won't open. Whenever I try to play the game, I get this error: "Please insert the SimCity 4 Deluxe play disk, select OK and restart the game" (And yes, I was using disk 2 to try to play the game.) I don't get why this is happening. It worked on the computer before. The one time it did open after installation. Then I updated the game with patch 1 and it didn't work anymore after that. I have tried all of these methods: - cleaning the disks - deleting my temp files - doing a slow installation - uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times I really don't know what is wrong. ANY help is appreciated! Thank you, Mike

Update 2 -- 3/4/09 So a very, very small update. Just wanted to show some pics of the regional railNext update development in Rose City will begin.. The path of the rail, in black of course. The three surrounding cities have been named. To the west of Rose City is Bloomingdale. To the south, St. Augustine. And to the southwest, New Delisburg. The grand rail station in Rose City. This station is located on the border of Midtown. There is a second, smaller one on the south side. Location of the grand station in Rose City That's all! ???: Does anyone know how to turn the grid off? I turned it on sometime the other day and I have no clue how to turn it off lol

Update 1 -- 3/3/09 Small update, los siento!! This shows three of the neighborhoods in Rose City. Downtown will mostly be medium and high density commercial. Uptown and Midtown will be mostly medium density residential, maybe with some high rises. The masterplanned downtown is pretty much complete. The transportation network has been finished. It is a grid with a combination of avenues, roads, and one ways. There is a subway, bus network, and light rail. The island is surrounded by a retaining wall. Between the wall and the grid will be a big park Close ups of the grid and light rail. You can see the two major subway hubs here. Light rail stations. There will be no highways in St. Mary! The people will use mass transit. There will be a regional rail, which you will see in the next update. Sorry this one was so small!

Intro -- 3/1/09 Welllllllll this is my second attempt at a city journal. The St. Mary Metropolitan Statistical Area, or commonly known as the Greater St. Mary Area, is a soon-to-be developed thriving region. The main focal point will be Rose City. Lalala the region...... This is my first hand made region, and I am very pleased with how it turned out. The region is made of four large city tiles. Rose City will be the uppermost right tile. As you can see, water/rivers are the main focal point here, with hills and mountain type terrain to complement it. The area soon to be known as Rose City......... One of the two islands, or maybe both, will most likely end up being the central business district. The larger peninsula type thing will be where the majority of the Rose City residents reside. The next update will be whenever. School is obviously a first priority, but I will try to update two or three times each week.
