  5. Chachi Republic

The Flag History In 1765, the British settled into what's now Waterloo Island. It was part of the UK until 1801 when the US took over. It was part of the US until it gained independence in 1959. The Flag: The union jack marks the upper left corner. From that to the lower right, the five dots represent the five islands. Between that is "Chachi Republic." Goverment Chachi is a US-like republic, with the head of goverment the President, followed by the members of the White House. Chachi has its own military for use in foreign wars. Geography When the US agreed to gain Chachi indipendence, they made a map which looks like this: Demography Chachi has over 2,000,00 residents, 30% who reside on Waterloo Island. Two offical languages, English and Japanese are as follows: 60% English speaking, 38% Japanese speaking and 3% other languages. Economy Due to Chachi's size, it has no currency. The US Dollar is used everywhere. Transportation When planning a vacation or business trip in Chachi, Waterloo International Airport is located at the northwestern corner of Waterloo city and Waterloo Island Airport is at the south side of Waterloo city. Both airports are connected to two major freeways and the Chachi Nationwide Transit, the DomesticBus and the DomesticRail. All five islands are connected to each other by a ferry service. Odaku National Airport is in the planning stages and will be built south of Odaku city. The nation is connected by a ferry service, a network of freeways (Waterloo Island only), and in urban areas CNT operates bus service and elsewhere rail service.
