I too do not have the BAT plugin, and I could not find it on Sim City or at the discreet web page. Where can I get it? -

This may seem like a stupid question, but I've been trying to work with the materials tutorial, and it refers to the material editor button, but no matter how hard I search, I can't locate it. Can someone please tell me exactly where it located? Thanks -

When you start to create a building, do you use a rectangle or a cube, box, etc.? Could you please start me off on the right track? I've gone over the tutorials several times, and there are a few steps that just don't seem to work out right as explained. Thanks -

I appreciate all the info that you've have given us here, but not being a programmer or having any previous experience with CAD type programs, I do hope that the BAT program in combination with GMAX will be able to be used by someone like me, or will I be wasting my time even thinking about trying it. I would love to be able to make my own custom buildings etc. for a game that I find both interesting, versatile, and challenging. I imagine though, that to make it usable by someone with no real experience or knowledge in the area of designing, you would have to have an extensive library available where we may be able to pick and choose various components that we wish to use. Again, Thank you Maxisbrian for your valuable time. -
His work is totally awsome. I grew up in Ridgewood, Queens and spent a lot of time in Manhatten. One thing that I would love to see Maxis come out with though is the ability to actually set the routes buses and trains (subways included) would follow (kinda like in Traffic Giant, which was put out by Jo Wood). Anybody got any ideas on this? Also, could anybody tell me where I can go to download actual US areas (maps etc.) made by the government?
