my tip for maintaining 100% leisure satisfaction (and most other types of satisfaction) is to not create new residential districts until i've reached 100% in existing. This way i find it much easier to determine which area is dragging down the stats ie the new area. If after building the new area, one or more of those stats are now below 80-90%, then i'll either demolish and rebuild my services in a better location that services both old and new areas effectively, or build new if the rest are maxed out and located well. Also important to remember that the more traffic a road can take, the further your effect range and that combining different types is the key as soltangris pointed out. And now with massively reduced costs for most services since CitiesXL 2011, maintaining complete satisfaction under budget is pretty simple. (Almost too simple IMO but i haven't built a big city yet with the 2011 so may change my opinion)

Is it just me or does this mod also reduce the monthly costs of all power generating buildings to $0?

How does the GTS 250 graphics card perform in Cities XL?
spyke01 replied to joshphillips999's topic in Cities XXL
I know its been a long time since the question was asked, but I'm running dual GTS 250 and have every setting maxed, running 1920x1080 on a 32" monitor and it runs sweet! No jerks at all and very fast rotating, etc. I tried with with one i believe when i was troubleshooting one time and it still ran pretty sweet though it was a smaller monitor. -

Sick of watching your finite treasury deplete slowly at the start whilst you're trying to set out your transport infrastructure and general city layout? Want to get positive income flow from the very start without cheating?Well, heres how: As I'm such a perfectionist with my cities, I keep restarting and what I noticed was that if I straight away call my new city the exact same name as my old one (on the same map of course), the trading screen would actually retain the old games trading certificates. This happens whether previously you had either positive or negative income I think? So if I was buying goods, I would be in the positive for that good, and the goods I am selling are in the negative. Whilst my resource screen does show a massive deficit in goods, without any population, whats the problem? I've had up to (+)$100,000 per month at the start which let me undertake massive earth leveling at the start. I don't know if this is considered a cheat or not as you eventually have to zero it out once you start placing residences. More of a loophole!

Here's a way to draw perfect circles of any size with only using two houses. It takes a little bit to set up but once you are done, circles are a breeze. I only illustrate a quarter circle here as that's all I need but you can see the other circles I've created with this method near the bottom of the post. I use small avenues for the main 45 degree roads, and small roads for the 22.5 degree roads.Very important to use the 8 way snap for everything you can otherwise some things adjust slightly. Also, make sure you follow the first few steps closely, as the order seems important.

Warning: Security issues currently with all game tickets
spyke01 replied to Ubor's topic in Cities XXL Technical Issues
Just a quick update, it appears fixed. After checking my active Ticket I thought I'd give it a go. I get a 'You don't have the rights to access this page" message. (I was hoping to stumble upon a solution to the same problem I'm having: the game only crashes. That's it. And I've installed successive patches to make it crash better. OK, being a little harsh, I have managed to play probably 1% of the times I run CXL) -
Cant connect, but already connected
spyke01 replied to crazedwombat11's topic in Cities XXL Technical Issues
I've had this issue twice so far and have managed to get around it by clicking the 'forgotten password' button and getting MC to resend the passwords to your email. This seems to log you out, allowing you to reconnect once you recreate your password. Hope this helps.
