This looks like an interesting CJ. However, nihonkaranws is right, you need to make the pictures smaller (800x600 max) and make them .jpg, NOT .png. Also, I recommend you turn the U-Drive-It icons and the grid off. (Grid can be turned off by pressing "G".)

I really love the curved roads myself. Even better, they actually give road access to the lots next to them, with one or two exceptions.

This is a pretty neat CJ, I've been following it quite a bit recently. BTW, I think it might be a bit of a disaster if the same person is the Oil Co. Representative AND Head of the Dept. of Health and Education. Just saying.

Wow, this is an amazing project. Great job Heblem!

The details were on the max, though the first pic was expanded to a size larger than it was originally, so it looks like a lower quality.

OK, here is my first update: This is the Grand Bay Area, part of the Grand River Valley Region. The past few years have created a settlement of just under 10,000 people. It has one main town, Grand Bay, with about 8,000 people, and two villages, Green Bend and South Bay, with about 1,000 each. Grand Bay was settled first, and then people gradually moved outwards. Recently, rumors of gold, gems, and other precious materials to the West have gotten people excited about moving West, which has led to the construction of a railroad westward. The Village of Green Bend was settled partly because of this railroad. This is South Bay, a village which was settled just south of Grand Bay. Unlike Grand Bay, all of its energy is delivered by clean, non-polluting sources, which as of right now are the two windmills in town center. (BTW, I haven't actually used any money cheats in the villages yet, so I've only had $100,000.) This is just east of Green Bend, in the countryside. This area is well known for its brightly colored farms, in contrast with the minds of its inhabitants. Its main exports are wheat and flowers, in addition to smaller amounts of rice. This is North Bay, where the town of Grand Bay meets the countryside. Unlike Grand Bay Proper, its air is very clean, thanks to its borrowing of Grand Bay Utilities. This is Founder's Church, in Grand Bay Proper. It is on the end of a fairly long peninsula, which is where the original founders of Grand Bay landed. This is Grand Bay itself, at the entrance to the Grand River. To the Southeast is Founder's Peninsula, a low-density area which is where most of the original settlement is. In the town itself, there are two major avenues, which meet at the roundabout near Grand Bay Elementary School and the Ferry Station. The major avenues turn into ordinary two lande roads once you get out of city limits, the east-west one heading past Green Bend, and the north-south one heading through North Bay. Education is not a strong point among Grand Bay Area residents; however, in Grand Bay itself, education has slowly been on the rise. (Note: The above image is a png, not a jpg, but I made it that way because it was a smaller image as a png.) And that's my version of the GRV so far.

Also, you should get rid of those UDI buttons, they get in the way. Then, you'll start having decent looking pictures. This looks pretty interesting though. And as supercity124 said, please use proper punctuation, grammar, etc.

OK, so I'm getting back into SC4 after a long leave, and this seemed like an interesting thing to do, which would help me get back into this. However, I have a few questions: As far as money cheats are concerned, is starting with 1,000,000 and never cheating afterwards too much? I always hate the advisors getting in my way, so I usually start in Hard mode, and get 1 million simoleans to start. If there is a road which is a major travel artery, going from town to town, and through any village along the way, does that count as a highway, or just a road? What if it bypasses some villages for a faster route? Do ferries count as harbors? I think that's it for now.
-
I am starting to play SC4 again, and w/ my "new computer" (my "old" PC w/ new hard drive) have done a fresh install. Unfortunately, this means I'm missing a lot of stuff. What I'm wondering is, where do I find all of the special farm tiles (The BSC ones, if I remember correctly). Also, is there anything else you recommend I get? (Besides terrain, water, and tree mods, the tunnel slope mod, the bridge height mod, and the NAM.)

Those pictures look great, and so does the road layout. Keep up the good work!

I can understand her eating a bagel, or some other fast breakfast, but cereal? She was just asking to crash. Great newspaper, and beautiful region.

All I have to say is WOW! After reading all 37 pages, I'm amazed at this region. It's just awesome. I especially like the area with the skyscrapers, neat skyline. Also, great photoshop skills! Keep up the good work!

I haven't been to simtropolis in a while, but I'll join this I guess. The Armed Republic of Splime City has transported themselves on battle ships to the Simtopolis Region. EDIT: May I edit the region wiki so I have a page?

That's a nice way to use the snow easter egg. Keep up the good work!

Q: What is that delicous yet not so delicous thing? A: It was destroyed by an explosion of the chemical tank.
-
Sorry about reposting KABOOM, I didn't see that. Anyway, Q: What does a crazy, mutant rinocerous do? A: Because it was electrocuted and sliced up.

Q: Why is that piano on the street? A: It went KABOOM!

Nice job on the CJ! I think this captures some small town feel. Though could you please compact your updates into one post instead of making them all separate. That is, unless there is a reasonable gap of time between.

Date:1/17/2005 12:55:06 PM Author:J.O. Splime: Long time no see! Actually as you can read in the first feedback of the storyline-intensive part, half of what is here is not mine, I'm 'Cntrl+C' 'Cntrl+V' ing a story from an ol' pdf I found in my derelict sector of the HD, ut I'm editing some stuff quote> The funny thing is, I just saw that AFTER I commented. The suspense of the story is killing me! What is this awakening?

But the jet is loaded with explosives! I wish I was indestructible.

Very interesting CJ. I especially like the original story. Keep it up!

This is a nice town and everything, but it seems to have lost its nice, small town feel with this war going on. In my opinion, this CJ would do better as a small town CJ, just with longer updates.

As of Monday last week, I'm in. However, I've only recently become re-active, so would that still count?
