I am sorry for putting this up prematurely. This problem had been discussed here: https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=24&threadid=100344&enterthread=y It essentially says: you should not exit the city view into region view in 1600/1200 resolution. I think one might work around it ... it is not nice though...

I just installed SC Deluxe again and I am struggling with a problem for several hours now. In large cities (4km) I get a blue edge on the bottom after returning (and saving) to the region view. Everything else works fine but where is the fun when you cannot sit back and watch your region in all its beauty? I attached a screeny for illustration. Has anybody a clue why that is and how to remove it? Any help is gratefully appreciated.
