all you guys making new buildings are great! i started playing sim city 4 religiously a few weeks ago...although i've had the game since last year...(been playing sim city games since the 90's) anyways, i can't get the BAT editor from simcity.com (.ea? whatever...) because when i download it and try to run the installer it says i need gmax...i follow the url it recommends, can't get the thingy either...AH! whatever, my computer probably sucks to much to use it anyways. so that's why i need you awesome dudes to make my gameplay experience way better! i have a few requests, ideas.... ::SCHOOLS! [more options for schools and colleges would be great. more COMBINATION schools like elementary and highschool would be cool. even "private" schools would be fun. also university campuses and the like. lets not forget the art institutions! i think this kind of stuff is really fun and should be available (maybe after SCSocieties, maxis will...ah forget it). ::HOSPITALS! [more unique hospitals and specialty clinics would be awesome and I'd totally use em'. maybe even combination hospital AND college/university campuses?? that would really make sense. ::INDUSTRY! [more options for industry would be great. it seems that most stock factories that Maxis equips us don't provide enough jobs. maybe some factories with a bit more capacity would be nice. i don't mean something totally unrealistic (well, considering robotics these days, i guess less workers would make sense...) i just think it would be fun to have some unique factories, HI-TECH industry, and the like would be nice. also, it would be fun to have a facility that provides work for all sim classes. the wealthy are working in the offices above the manufacturing plant, the lower class sims are working in shipping and receiving...you get it. ------i have this idea to create an underground facility (i saw at least one on the stex). there would be some sort of above ground access and short tower, but the capacity of workers would be quite more than what it would look like from above. i'd imagine most of the scientists and manufacturers are working on something top secret and dangerous underground! ------PARTICLE EXCELLERATOR! of course we can build an underground tunnel reaching miles across our regions, but we CAN build a facility of sorts that houses the main 'goings-ons' of a particle excelerator. we'll just use our imagination about the underground tunnel. if you don't know what i'm talking about, google CERN. i believe there is one currently being made (finished?) in the US. somewhere in the midwest...i think. ::GOVERNMENT! we could have buildings that function as sort of a military headquarters, providing jobs for $$ and $$$. it could boost demand for manufacturing (maybe we'll need some weapons manufacturing plants too???). Any other government related buildings would be fun. bottom line...when i'm browsing through the STEX i see a plethora of skyscrapers, hotels, and the like, but not enough CIVIC buildings. thank you so much. you all are very talented. keep up the good work! -fighting4crayons-

so, yeah. i installed the latest version of Network Addon and now i can't build a road across a railroad track. nor can i build an venue or street across a railroad. after uninstalling the Network Addon modpack, i CAN now build across rail. i'm bummed that i can't use the modpack because it seems to have a bunch of useful tools. as for other modpacks installed, i don't have a whole lot that directly relates to transit except for the mods that put bus stops and subway stops on the road (though i haven't used it). i hope someone can help me. maybe this problem has been brought up before?? if so, i apologize for wasting space on the forum. please help or direct me to somewhere that i can find answers. (by the way, i uninstalled the pack, then re-installed the pack with different options, but still the same problem...) -fighting4crayons-
