Just downloaded the latest driver from Nvidea (I think). The game is still freezing like it was before.

I have tried patches but not sure I got all of them tho, the ones I used had no effect. As far as the laptop, it has had the game run suberbly before on it. Graphics Card is a Nvidea Geforce Go 7600 system: Ram: 2gb Processor: AMD Turion 64x2 Mobile technology TL-64 (2 CPUs) ~2.2 GHz Running DirectX 10 if that makes a difference.

Couple months ago I Installed SC4+RH to my laptop that is running windows vista business. I have had SC4 on this machine in the past, and it worked just fine. My computer had to be sent in to HP because it was having some severe malfunctions. When i got the computer back I had to re-install SC4. Now whenever I play the game it Freezes after about 3 min. and it stays frozen for about 5 min. Then i can play for about 30 sec. every 5 min as it re-freezes. My system is past the requiremnets of the game. I havn't updated my drives since I got my computer back because for some reason NVIDEA driver downloads seem to fail. Any idea on how to fix this?

after installing and resarting with drivers. no luck

as far as the recovery i don't think so. i just installed a bunch of drivers for the graphics and have yet to restart the pc

i will say this: before several repairs, i could somehow run sc4+RH on this computer, i have no idea how, but i know it is possible

i wouldn't be amazed if this was somewhere else, but the search feature does not like me. I am running sc4+rh on a hp dv9000 laptop. windows vista business. my game keeps freezing either for a couple minutes at a time, or just completely locks up. its also locks up my computer. i just my comp back from motherboard/graphics error and a re-image already ced hard drive. i was wondering if there is anything to do just based on vista, i have checked most of the plugins and mods for errors, and I don't think it is them. So is there anything thing that i might not think of when troubleshooting. i run the game as admin, and use windows xp service pack 2 compatability. also since i go my comp back it frequently freezes as a whole, i don't think the two problems are related.

The comp went in for mainly for graphics repairs cuz the chip was fried (i think) the graphics card on a laptop is integrated with the motherboard so that got replaced too. They had me remove the hard drive and re-install it at home as an attempt to solve the problem. when i got the computer back, they said they did something to the harddrive (when i turned on the pc it was whiped as far as i know.

So I got my pc back from hp after some repairs. I am running windows Vista business. So I start up the game and go to a blank city, skip god mode. City building usually goes fine until I try to put in a bus stop. one time I tried a GLR station. As soon as I put it in, the game freezes or at least 4-5 min, possibly more. Trying to bring up task manager, takes a few min. Every once in a while the game completely crashes. All but a few mods I have had on another comp and on my current one before it went for repairs, and there was not a problem... Any ideas how to stop the freezing

Is anyone else getting an error when searching through the exchange? no matter what I type, I get it.

Okay so i tried that and it worked for a while, but then i was putting in a upramp to a Elevated Rail and it crashed, but before this i had successfully put in one of the ramps w/o a crash. I did hover over a piece like you said but it took the game 5-10 min before it crashed

whenever I try to use the GLR functions from NAM the game after a certain time will crash, from whenever I first start using it there is like a timer to when the game will just close to the desktop. Yes i have tried reinstalling it, and yes i did try to read the ReadMe but it made no sense to me cuz i'm kinda a idiot at this stuff. Help Please
