How can I make more commuters come to a certain region
simcity4crazyguy replied to WeBuiltThisCityOnSimCity's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
It may be that you just don't have enough sims? They will take the jobs closest to them, so if you get more the inner part of your commercial city should get filled up since the outer ones are full already. -

Hi, would it be possible for you to elaborate upon this solution? Perhaps some file paths would help? All your plugins are available at C:\Users\Peti\Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins Just take out any previous plugins add the SimMars stuff in there. Same with the regions, I believe: C:\Users\Peti\Documents\SimCity 4\Regions -

There are two types of crosses in here. A night glowing one, and a nice night lighting one. Both have the same status: Flammability: 10 Monthly cost: 150 Buldoze cost: 100 Landmark Effect: 40 (desirability) ,20 (radius) Power consumed: 60 Plop Cost: 1000 Have fun with these lots! Ps: Read the readme to know where to put these -
Disappointing things but also very interesting things to see on those screenshots!

We know another thing. Maxis is reading our threads here at ST and/or at the SimCity site. (by Mayor Jason) I'm aware of how some of you feel about the new release of SimCity Societies. I've read the threads, I've seen the news. Please keep discussion civil and calm. I will be watching and pruning/locking any threads that are getting out of hand. You are free to voice your opinion here, but please remain civilized and reasonable. As long as you stay in the boundaries of the TOS, there shouldn't be any problems.quote> From hither. sc

Girl, I pretty much agree with you! The farm picture took my breath away, I mean...c'm on! A barnyard at 3d with a sunset, what more can a rural lover want? sc -
Mine too, though I'm sceptical. I was at the chat session when SimMars was being debated on. The missus was there, everyone was there, and I remember being asked if it would be a good idea to which I said yes. From then on SimMars was in progress with humongous support. And then the support gradually dwindled. A high burst of energy is good, but ya'll need to maintain it for the next several months or even years it's going to take. SimMars was in progress for the past 1-2 years now, and we're (we as in them, the SimMars team, and I) are still looking forward to Beta 2 being released. Just a warning. sc

I'm in the minority, but I actually like this game thus far. I like the societies aspect as well as the graphics and concepts. What I dislike is the plopping, I always liked growable buildings better than ploppable ones, and loved the power lines, water pipes, garbage trucks, power, water, garbage utilities and so on. sc

Hi andisart, On your crucial steps list, three posts above this, you listed that you need someone to program an installer. I can't do that, but just wanted to point out alzip, a program that's like all the other zip programs, but it can make an exe file too. And it's free. It can be found here: http://www.altools.net/ALTools/ALZip/tabid/53/Default.aspx I don't know if that would work for you guys, but thats what I use with my brothers when files I want to share need to be put in a specific spot and they don't know how to put it there. sc -

How do you feel about the SCS announcement?
simcity4crazyguy replied to Dirktator's topic in City-Building Games
My knee-jerk reaction was "how disappointing", but now that I take a look at the cover of the magazine again, I think the graphics so far looks pretty good. But it's a cover, it's bound to be exaggerated. We'll see when one of the subscribers to the magazine actually get it today. sc -
This got to be the best way to play! Right click on My Computer, choose Properties, go to the Advanced tab, Click on Settings under the Performance section, and then choose Adjust for Best Performance. My bro did this, and his computer speeded up soooo fast, that he clicks on internet, and literally it just pops up!!! https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/images/smilies/6.gif>https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/images/smilies/6.gif> I dont know if it'll work with simcity, but Im absolutely sure that it will.
