Thanks for the replies. This game frustrates me to no end at times but I love it. Any more info would be appreciated if anyone has any comments.

On the same topic (somewhat) I'm getting Commute times that say Long when the route shows the people just walking a block to work. I've linked a screenshot. This house's information says it's commute time as long and it doesn't make sense to me. Help? cmroberson.com/images/house1.png

I had a nice growing city but then an entire section began to have no job zots. My commute times are long, about 45 minutes, but I'm working on some mass transit to fix that. A lot of the medium wealth folks who have jobs in this area commute to my downtown CBD, which is clear on the other side of the map. I zoned a lot of HT, but none of the lots upgraded to high wealth and all of my commercial lots were becoming high wealth and not medium wealth. I've attached a screenshot for assistance. Any suggestions? Thanks! www.cmroberson.com/images/nojobs.jpg

Still Having Windows 7 Crashing Issues

I'm running 32-bit OS, not 64-bit, so there isn't a differentiation. -

I reduced resolution to 1600 x 900 and had my first crash after a few hours of use. Seems the frequency is down, but problem is still there after changing the resolution and installing the optimizer. -

I am running it windowed, but at full 1920x1080 resolution, so I'll try a lower one. I did install the Dual Core Optimizer and played for about an hour yesterday without a single crash. I'm hoping that was the fix! I'll keep everyone updated. -

I'll try installing the Dual Core Optimizer and see if that does anything. -
I've read most if not all of the threads on here outlining different ways to combat the problem of SC4 crashing. My game still crashes to desktop after only a few minutes of playing time consistently. My current target line has all of these hacks already in play: "C:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Apps\SimCity 4.exe" -CPUCount:1 -w -intro:off -CustomResolution:enabled -r1920x1080x32 As you can see, I'm already running in a window, running on one processor core and a few other things. My computer is an Athlon X2 2.4GHz dual-core setup with 4GB of ram and a GeForce GT 220 and I'm running SC4 Deluxe. I tried running in a virtual machine, XP Mode, but that won't allow you to run DirectX so I can't get it to run in the virtual environment. Do I have any hope?
