Can't seem to find answers to these questions but here goes. 1. What do I do about traffic/road pollution? I have tons of parks, anti-pollution buildings and trees that line just about every major road, but I'm still getting pink and orange pollution on the heavier roads. These are hot spots that have subways and bus stops all over the place but I can't seem to curb the air pollution on roads. 2. CO$$$, CS$$$, and R$$$ demand. I'm not sure how to get the value up for these guys. They are about the only types of high demands I have in my city right now. (actually everything else is negative.) I have tons of parks, school, health, etc in the city, no problems with fire or crime. Everything seems pretty solid but I have empty zones that won't fill because of this. The city is about 1.6million, in a region with 2.5 million. 3. Airports I have a few custom airports in my landmarks menu and when I place them they act dumb. Basically they don't seem to work and relieve demand needed that the vanilla airports provide. Am I missing a plugin or are they just eye candy? 4. World Trade Center Towers Plop. The world trade center towers lot has something like 55k CO$$$ jobs. The lot has become abandoned due to 'demand.' But as mentioned above I have tons of demand in my city for those jobs. Residential lots are near by so commutes shouldn't be an issue. Will a lot like this fill back up eventually, or is it pretty much taking up lots now? 4a. Anyone know if this lot will be transit enabled (if that is the right term.) There is an avenue on the lot that no matter how you line it up will not let you connect another avenue to it. 5. Missing lot hints. Any clues on identifying which lot files are what when only texture files show up. I have a few lots that are obviously tall buildings that vanish when the construction is over and turn into a texture lot file with no building, no brown box, no query info. When I try to query it, it tells me 'Zoned Commercial' or Zoned Industrial. Not really helpful. plus I can't bulldoze them. (I think this happened when I used the cleanitol tool which messed up more than it helped, if any.) 6. Large lot crime. I have several modds for crime and such, but there are still problems at airports, country clubs and universities. Any modds out there that extend police coverage in tiles? Yes I have roads around all the buildings. Thanks for the help and suggestions.

Okay, new to the forums, and a long time simcity fan with a persistant problem that I'm surprised is not mentioned in any other threads and I can't find an acceptable answer on the net. My plain vanilla copy of SC4 Deluxe loves to crash and it crashes in so many ways I'm not sure where to start. 1. Once a city gets to a certain size, I save, and reload the next day it crashes after a few minutes of game play. This is a city with 300k peeps, about, and a region of 455k. Starting another city in the same region results in a crash after about 5 minutes of game play. Very annoying. 2. Once the game crashes I have to reboot to be able to start the game again as the game crashes when I try to start it again. 3. Once I exit the game for when I actually can, I get the bridge flash screen crash, where it lingers on the screen until I kill it in task manager. These are problems I remember from way back that have bugged me for years to the point where I give up on the game and forget about it for a few years. I have an aging gaming rig, and in theory shouldn't have performance issues. Athlon 64 X2 Dual 3800+ 4 gb of Ram Dual Geforce 6800 SLI 30gigs of free hd space. Win Xp pro. All drivers are up to date. Update patch is installed (sort of, it gives me an error when installing it saying the first dat file is already up to date, then goes to the 3rd dat.) I know this probably isn't a tech support board, but any help would be appreciated as EA/Maxis doesn't seem interested in helping.

Checked out the omnibus posts (and yeah, there are some cool tutorials there) but the one on crashes didn't really help me. None of the problems were really like I'm seeing and the the solutions there (updated drivers and maxing out the page file) I'm good on. I have loads of BATs but after these crashes I don't have them installed. I even uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. This happens when I'm playing straight out of the box games. Granted, I get to play it for a long time that first go around, but not being able to expand my regions or expand on existing cities really sucks.
