6064 holy crap it's been so long, I forgot about protocol. Hey guys. I haven't logged on for years. But I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether or not Schulmanator is still a member? He had the CJ Schulmania... I believe it was called. He was kind enough to include my kitty in his cj. I had to put my kitty down today after 17 years. I wanted to thank, Bruce, I think his name was, for writing my sweet little girl into his story all those years ago.

6021 My word. Larks is in Thailand and Duke got married. Even Craig is making his presence known in my old favorite thread. How are chptrk and astronelson doing I wonder. I've missed you guys. Much love to you all.

5968 I haven't been in a Best Buy in years. Come to think of it, I haven't been on ST in a couple years either. Ooooh, look at these fancy Trixies

5897 Quiet in these parts nowadays, isn't it? The last time I pulled out my suit I saw that moths had gotten to the pants. I've been getting by on sport coats since. I just drove 9200 miles through 25 states and thought I'd check in on ST. I don't think I've been by in almost a year, so hello old friends!

5711 Usually you'll catch me on a t-shirt and jeans kind of day. I enjoy dressing more formally when appropriate but do so far less than dressing casually. I have a lot of band t-shirts, most of them Deftones (no surprise there) and lately I've been into just weird, off the wall shirts I find on the internet. Lots of black, a good bit of grey and a few splashes of color. I picked up a blazer a few months ago but haven't really found an occasion in which to wear it.

He was indeed a great guy who was always willing to lend a hand. I learned a good bit from him over the years and I'm sure many more in the community did as well. He will be missed.

5660 I don't care for seeing movies in the theaters. Last I saw was 21 Jump Street and I got carded. Last night I finally got around to watching Apocalypse Now and I must say it was excellent. Hope everyone has been having a nice summer (or perhaps winter)!

5613 Last night I watched Ingenious and I rather enjoyed it.

5609 Normally I'd give anything with Eugene Levy a chance but, nah I don't want to watch those most recent AP movies at all.

5602 Don't forget the Blackhawks! The question's answers were quite broad. Any appearance of a color counted. Even the Golden State Warriors. Also included were the Arizona and St Louis Cardinals, which I agree was a stretch and the reason why I couldn't get all the answers.

5585 I recall a few years back some friends hit me with a trivia question asking what all the teams were that had a color in their name across the 4 major sports in US and Canada. It took me a while and some were a stretch like Kansas City Royals as in royal blue. I couldn't think of them all. Fun question for a sports fan though.

5564 Did they tear much down to build the Barclays Center? Or was that just a railyard? I only just read that the facade of Citi Field was inspired by Ebbets Field. I never noticed before.

5561 The construction of new stadiums often leads to the teams themselves owning development rights on adjacent lots. Lots that often became vacant when the teams' old parks were demolished. This has been a problem in Pittsburgh as the Steelers have allowed god awful architecture to be built next to Heinz Field (this is true at the very least with the most recent erections). The Penguins recently filed for their 3rd extension on the old Civic Arena lot. Bjarke Ingels Group proposed a beautiful multi-use complex for the site (one that is admittedly overkill... our city doesn't exactly need all the space in the proposal) but there the land sits while the Penguins organization gets their act together. US Steel also pulled out of their proposed headquarters on the site but that design was the definition of bland no big loss there.

5539 I hope to get to Chicago this summer for a game. I've been road tripping more and have some more planned. I went to New York this past weekend. I'm headed to Cleveland in 2 weeks and Philly in August. I've also become quite attracted to Chattanooga, TN. I hope to reach all this year. Although I might take a train to Chicago to shake things up.

5529 Cool Map. Very Boston-ish and slightly Charleston, SC-ish.

5523 I tend to do the same but I'm prone to a bit more cheering. Still I'm often asked if I'm "doing ok" or "having fun" but even that people ask me all over. When I'm relaxed I show little emotion. It clearly irks people who rely on facial feedback and what not. I didn't watch Kobe's last game myself. I retained an old desktop with xp so I could continue to play SC4 but I never even transferred the files. I think I'm done. Too many plugins and files to manage, ctd's and over all too much time needed to make something cool. It was fun playing it for like, 8 years though!

5519 Jobs are jobby. Just in case anyone missed it... baseball has begun. Opening day in Pittsburgh was cold. So very cold.

5459 I suppose if I had my druthers I would prefer it to be spring instead of winter but I don't particularly care. Warmer weather is nicer though. It was a nice day today in Pittsburgh which was convenient as I helped a friend move.

5443 I've never been to Punxsy even though it's not all that far away from me.

5418 I've made a few trips to Cleveland since my friend moved there but I haven't explored the city since the time when I had a bad experience there. They get a lot of good concerts that don't go through Pittsburgh though. I saw Deftones there once. Citizen Cope as well. For my next trip I'm thinking of going to Chicago. I've only been to the airport.

5381 Last time I went to London I was able to smoke right in the terminal at Gatwick but that was 15 years ago. I have been meaning to make a conscious effort to quit lately but as of yet I'm still a slave to cigs.

5372 I sold most of my matchbox/hot wheels cars at a family garage sale in 1991. The same guy bought the whole lot for about 30 bucks if I recall. I kept about 60 or 70 though.

5368 Oh my. I had many micro machines. I suppose it's possible they are still in my parent's house.

5354 True. There's always PT. Sounds like a great set of destinations. Have fun, man!

5350 You can always rent a car when you arrive. Driving on the other side of the road is... interesting. Whereabouts are you headed, Larks?
