Well got half the problem solved thanks to Cheese...got the good resolution...but no window mode? Do i have to throw the -w before the other commands? or after?

For some reason i put -CustomResolution:enabled -r1600x1050x32 -f -introff into the command line..and nothing...its still full screen and the graphics are little "fuzzy" now?? Whats up with that? I use a Nvidia 8800GT

yeah i have NAM installed...not sure if im using it right or not...but yeah they just sit there when there is a subway station right down from them

Okay...so i have a good city going...two regions..one with commercial and residential..another with industrial. In each of my "neighborhoods" in the residential region i put 1 bus station and 2 subway stations, each within walking distance of all houses in the neighborhood. So its going great...then when i reach a population around 4,500 people start complaining about their commute?! You can walk to the subway station!! The commute time is ~15 (mins i guess). So what is causing this? I mean their education is good...but they just refuse to walk to the subway 3-4 tiles away?!

Yeah i balance the teach to student ratio fine...im making a good profit...just industrial demand has gone stagnant. They want commercials (mostly light and medium) but no industrial...plus they are out of jobs...arghhh

they arent fully funded because they have so few students....if i fully fund them they start to complain about too many teachers...not enough students.

Thanks for the replies...but most of the time i get my city to a profit making area..set it to fast..and just let it go to get money. But in this example i had let it go at super fast speed for about 20 mins..and no change in education lvls at all.

Wow thanks all...yeah got it fixed...just needed to throw in some 2x1s and then it started up fine. Only thing is now ive run into a wall!! I have around 4,000 pop but people refuse to get educated it seems. I have them in the vacinity of an elementary school and library...but they just wont go. They are stuck in the red/orange area of education and they are relatively young also. So my question is...how do i get education up if people just DONT GO?

Hi im a long time browser of the forums...recently joined. I am having problems with single zoned Residential areas not building. If there are two zones next to eachother they will sometimes combine into a single home...but the 1x1 zone just wont build. I have looked at tutorials and saw many people using the single zone for suburb type cities. Any help would be greatly appreciated
