No problem, first you must create a new region ingame, after that leave the game, go to the created region folder on your simcity4 user folder (must be around "my documents") replace the config.bmp file of that region by the one given in this download, put the grayscale image somewhere you remember, load the game and in your region press "ctrl+shift+alt+R" and select the grayscale, the game will start rendering the region, it should take a while so be patient.

Here's a map of what I called the "Breaton Bay" I consider this a nice realistic terrain of a kind of a valley that goes downhill untill it reaches the bay, a beautifull beach with low water that gets deep as one leaves the bay. It can easily be home of some nice seaside cities, and it's up to your imagination (and skill) to give it shape. Here's a detailed pic if the region: img38.imageshack.us/img38/160/breatonbaypreview.png Hope you enjoy! -

The Island of Amahawa! (The name doesn't really mean anything) Welcome to Amahawa, this island, mostly composed by Large City Tiles, offers a landscape that is both interesting and challenging to build on, I looked foward on creating a realistic landscape that could relate to a real world island, it's size is also big enough to acomodate a large number of cities so it can actually relate to the size and realism of a real world island. For a detailed view of the entire island and the surrounding minor islands, click the link below: img14.imageshack.us/img14/6263/amahawadetailed.png IMPORTANT - Before doing the "ctrl+alt+shift+r" operation, insert the "1000m.dat" file given in the .zip folder in your plugins folder or it will not create the region correctly, after it is created, delete the file. Hope you enjoy! -

Large map of a group of Islands. I didn't want to make the islands very tall, altough I did want to make them with a nice detail in wich would be interesting and challenging to build on, I think in a way I accomplished that. The map consists only of large cities so it's a pretty big region, yet feel free to change the sizes with the config file (not that it will change the region size but you know, do as you please). Here's a more detailed screenshot of the map: (sorry about the clouds, forgot to turn them off= img715.imageshack.us/img715/5571/neworldislands.png (Very large image, have patience while it loads) IMPORTANT - Before doing the "ctrl+shift+alt+R" operation, insert the "1000m.dat" file given in the .zip folder in your plugins folder or it will not create the region correctly, after it is created, delete the file. P.S. - This is my first ever map created through greyscale so I hope that it is of your liking.
