  1. Update 50 - 2/13/12 - The Big 5-0: Then and Now

I honestly love everything about this journal--the maps and the story behind it are fabulous. You've done such a great job bringing it to life.
  2. Reading city journals!

  3. Update 30 - 8/19/11 - Parquart, Southall, and Highland Neighborhood

Very awesome man! I just read the entire thing in one sitting. Truly great work. Which park set are you using for the trails, trees and grass?
  4. Introduction

Reminds me a lot of DFW.
  5. NHP Dallas Texas By blade2k5

And then of course, there's all the stuff to south... "Dallas" is just a collection of small cities which make it unique and fun. Keep Dallas pretentious!
  6. Hello all, I was wondering if anyone had ever turned the residential skyscrapers--not the highrises--into commercial buildings. I really love some of the huge residential skyscrapers, and I usually label them as a business when I do my signs in my game, but it would be really freakin' awesome if they were coded as commercial properties in the game. Created jobs, et cetera. And even more excellent if they could also be propable. Thanks for any information anyone has to offer. Keep it goin' ST!

  9. I agree about the repetition, but sometimes it IS realistic to have low density residental right outside of the downtown--just not too much. It especially works if they are the bigger mansions or larger $$ homes---just not the low-wealth ones as those would certainly be demolished once density needed to rise. Also, I just noticed that your streets don't cross the avenues all the way. Don't you have traffic problems with that? Just wondering, cos I always do if I do that.
  10. Liberty County: Two cities, one metro area

Tough luck man. I can't tell you how many times that's happened to me. But starting all over again does open new doors. When you're ready to start again, I know I'll be ready to tune in!
  11. Ampton County

I love the way this continues to develop. Awesome pictures, man.
  12. Liberty County: Two cities, one metro area

You're CJ is incredible! I like to read it over and over--fascinating.
  13. Gemini River Ridge - A Rural Development Project

Very pleasing photos, sir. I *love* FM roads, cheers!
  14. Ampton County

*What* did you download for your airport?! I really like yours a whole bunch; I've tried downloading some things here and there, but it never really looks good or realistic. Yours is so awesome!
  15. Liberty County: Two cities, one metro area

I should really like the idea of Fort Freedom becoming a major city and ultimately becoming the capital of the region; however, I should also think there would be a name change once the city gets larger---Fort Freedom is kind of a hoaky name for a big city. Or Fort Freedom could be the county seat for a long time and then New London could be chosen to be the capital. Great CJ so far! It's really swell. I love all the photoshopping.

  17. The Suburbs

When I make suburbs, they never turn out real because of the "commute time factor". Does everyone that makes these amazing suburbs with streets have a speed mod or soemthing?
  18. Fort Carlton: A City-state

    Great start!--I'm intrigued.
  19. flame1396's Eye-Candy CJ

Personally, I like when old threads are revived; I like seeing some old CJs from the past that have been obscured by the thousands of new (and sometimes terrible) CJs.
  20. Revelstoke

I love that you included a blurb about Tim Horton's in your paper. So good. Are those popular?---I think I went everyday when I was in Michigan on holiday.
  21. Chicago! City Beautiful edition.

I was under the impression that Chicago was built using the 1909 Plan... Or perhaps it just strongly influenced development?
  22. Revelstoke

I'm so happy you updated! What trees are you using--they're very nice.
  23. Flint, Illinois

I love your region. It's very very realistic and it shows that you took a good while to make this. Please keep posting--I cannot wait to see more! You executed the sunken freeways flawlessly. I noticed you used feeder roads by them, so do your sims just stay on the feeder and not use the freeway?
  24. Astea | ELECTION RESULTS Incoming - Part 1

Where did you get the buildings from the very beginning?--the English Tudor looking ones.
  25. Revelstoke

I'm really enjoying your airport! The trees out front of the terminal are great!
