In any case, it still wouldn't rely on the use of firearms.I was once in line with a bunch of military school students. They were all declaring firearms. No fuss, no muss.quote> I have a friend and his dad is a US Air Marshal.... coverage is random, I like that though, never know when you'll have an Air Marshal on the plane! I feel safer with that, I'm happy that he'll fire 3 shots into each terrorists chest, kill them, and then keep everything right. I'm really glad that thats where some tax money is going, I don't know about you guys but I'm glad with it.. Well, I was just doing some browsing I'm thinking of joining the Junior NRA, heck, with NRA members, we don't need national security, deputize them! Just kidding. I'm glad that TSA will tackle you, lockdown the whole airport and do other things if a threat has been declared. TSA is great, but I'm pretty sure they've gotta improve a little bit after undercover officers took stuff on a plane that could've made a liquid bomb, I'm not happy with that one bit.
  2. Oh by the way, I'm really happy with the surge in Iraq (Don't worry I'm on topic with this post) but I disagree with using the National Guard, I really hate that the militia pretty much of our homeland, is deployed, now I'm 'm not going to go around blaming bush or the war solely on this but I really hate the fact that the National Guard is away from the homeland.

  4. Bomb explodes in Times Square

Sorry, I don't have the exact body count when I was looking it up. But seriously, we aren't over there for oil. If we we're there would've been solders already coming back saying WE ONLY OVER THERE FOR OIL, BUSH LIED!!!!1 But there isn't seriously. Ehh Georgia.. by where hes getting his news from I mean hes saying stuff about were only over there for oil, and hes saying its not a big deal terrorists took a few airplanes and smashed them into buildings.. so at the bottom, your saying its more suspicious being in New York right?

I know that's the past, but it simply represents what's going on today. quote> Might wanna check those numbers again, my friend. About 3000 were killed at Pearl Harbor. And it was a war we didn't start. One could make the assertion that Japan brought Hiroshima and Nagasaki on themselves, and get full agreement from the victims of Nanking. But this isn't about history. It is about now. Japan certainly enjoys the protection of nuclear arms nowadays, by US treaty, without the messy politics of owning or developing any. Good thing too, with North Korea and China so close.quote> Thanks for correcting that..

Originally posted by: nihonkaranws No offense to American people, but sometimes all this drama about bombs going off in America sickens me. Guys, you invade other countries, you use extremely powerful weapons, and you kill anyone that gets in your way. And all of that for what, oil? You cause so much harm in other countries that kill thousands of people and don't seem to give a damn, yet your famous towers get hit by planes and a bomb goes off in your city and your ranting and raving as if the world has ended. Kind of brought it on yourself, didn't you? Here's and example. During WWII Japan launched an attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, which killed about 150 people, and in return America drops nuclear bombs which killed over 1 million people? I know that's the past, but it simply represents what's going on today. So America, stay the hell out of other countries and mind your own business. That would do us all a favor, including your loyal citizens. Phew.quote> Sir what is WRONG WITH YOU? We had nearly 4 thousand people killed that day in the towers, our main building of national defense got hit by a plane, and another plane was brought down in the middle of a field. We are not there in Iraq/middle east for Oil. I know people currently serving over there, they laugh when I ask them that. Theres no Oil around them plus how can we really even import the oil? You don't get it do you? We had about 6,000 people killed that day in all (I don't have an exact statistic) where ever in HELL are you getting your news from? I'm sorry, but your completely clueless to the issue. We've already let these people bomb us about 5 times, in more than one place, and then they took around 6.000 lives. You don't understand the factor of terrorism, what country do you live in? I hate the war, completely hate it. But, I know we HAVE TO BE THERE to fight this because if not, we're gonna have them getting nuclear stuff among other things, thats a proven fact too. I'm not saying the world has ended, like some people might be doing.. we did NOT bring it to ourselfs, we actually tried helping them by giving some group which is now a terrorist group money to help defend themselfs from Russia. You really need to learn more about this before you go criticizing Americans on stuff you have no remote idea about.

I have no clue what they discussed but for what I know, a lot of scientists are starting to Disagree. Panthersimcity4: did you say that i'm an Evangelist Christian?

However, wars lasting more than 100 years have happened in the past.quote> I do agree in a way with you El Burro, I think that we need to be out of Iraq, but not in a surrendering way, and until its over with and we can let them finish. I've seen that they are making HUGE progress over there, espically with the Army Corps of Engineers rebuilding the city, I know someone who's over there doing security for cranes and stuff he basically sits on top of a truck all NIGHT with a machine gun (M249) and makes sure no one tries and puts IED's over near them, other than that the construction happens and its going decently well. I'd rather clinton than obama... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rgt6YQiZTkc thats my fav youtube video, it also explains a decent amount of what I think of him. Yes it is pretty much sarcasm etc etc. But I'm going with McCain because, hes the republican in the race and hes got what I'm looking for plus, hes actually done stuff, more stuff compared to clinton and obama.

I would also like to see a way from getting it in the wrong hands, being that gun control ISN'T the solution and it would make it a hell of a lot worse, we need to think of something...

Plead with him to get out or yell at him? Ohh how about hit him with my fist while he has a crowbar or something.. that'll be great. I'd really like to say the NYPD does a VERY fabulous job I would feel pretty safe in New York now, from what I understand of their whole police force, its like for the people who have been to disney world, you know all those staff entrances, I sware thats where NYPD personnel and cars come out of LMAO! Same thing with London! I sware! ixnayonthetimmay: I see what your saying... ok now I understand, thanks.

Originally posted by: ixnayonthetimmay Response to those who would say that the Second Amendment has little relevance to our society in modern times: No, the British are not a threat to the colonies anymore. And the "well-regulated Militias" have since been superseded by an even more well-regulated military system. None of this changes the purpose or the legitimacy of the amendment. Think for a second about the Thirteenth Amendment. In the United States in 2008, pretty much everyone of sound mind would agree that to enslave another human being is morally abhorrent. Furthermore, if there were any group, organization, corporation or government entity that actually tried to commit it, they would be exposed and society would generally shun and avoid them for utilizing slavery. Does the fact that slavery is societally unacceptable mean that the Thirteenth Amendment should be disregarded for having no relevance? Lastly, I'd like all of you to consider perhaps that the fundamental right for the people to keep arms was so important to the founding fathers that they made it second only to the freedoms of speech, religion and assembly, and ahead of trial by jury, due process and even cruel and unusual punishment. I can only hope that the importance of what's listed in the Bill of Rights isn't demeaned simply because it is over 200 years old...quote> Catch me if I'm being mislead... you think that since America has been established and that we in society's don't live in colonies or areas per se that we no longer need a militia because we've already established everything including a relationship with the UK.. is that what your saying?

  21. Originally posted by: Frankie_Grove Originally posted by: hym ....While the number of hunters in the US is shrinking, many hunters own multiple guns of varying types....quote> That is untrue. Hunting clubs are reporting increasing numbers, which is why every season we are given fewer and fewer tags. And for the record, you are correct on multiple ownerships by one person. At one point there were at least 53 guns in my house (we're collectors and we hunt). GMT: There is a LOT of paperwork that goes with owning guns (why do you think waiting periods are so long?).quote> I don't like hunting, but I'm not gonna go into a whole huge freaking debate on why I don't like hunting certain animals.. but I gotta say, I don't think you go around shooting people up (including Wendey's) weekly or monthly, I don't think you hold up 7 11's at night. GMT: You still don't get it, gun owners (legally owned guns and the owners don't break laws with them is what I'M SAYING). I have no clue why we've got people that live in other countries saying stuff like "WELL IT WORKED HERE, WHY NOT THERE" has anyone seen our society compared to say a UK society? UK residents are different than us, though they might like the same foods, or the US and UK might be allies and what have you, ITS A DIFFERENT SET OF RULES, ISSUES, AND MANY OTHER THINGS! Get that please. Frankly, this is completely stupid going to Gun Control debates and factors, SWAT-MEDIC are you actually a SWAT medic? I'm just kinda curious as to that. Hym, I'm sure you uncle doesn't go to 7-11's at night, and hold the places up, and commit a robbery with one or two of his guns... right?? Plus, we might need guns in the future, we're like in really bad shape with washington D.C. so.. OK I'M KIDDING I'M KIDDING PLEASE DON'T COME TO MY HOUSE AND ARREST ME. I also think that, if you had say a couple teachers in a school or a principal whatever, that has a gun, it might make schools safer, I know my teacher wont take out a gun and kill me... I don't know about some of you guys lmao. What we really should be debating is gorebull warming. I'm sorry but this is completely absurd.
  22. What do you mean "???" I'm showing you, your crazy for thinking guns should be banned, you should ban cars too, the whole craze with gun control and stopping people from having them (which WONT happen) is that guns don't kill a lot of people as you think. Cars kill more people than guns I'm sure. Its another ploy I'm sure to just make conservatives mad, because you guys can't put 2 and 2 together.
  23. I am not a yob.

I'm not a stereotype, well I don't think I am, I'm the funny person, in the class, I'll cut it short, the class clown. I am starting to dress more like someone who likes guns and nascar/cars I guess I'm leaning republican/southern lol. But really I can't stand the ghetto kids in my area, I want to hit them with a bat, they all go saying the N word and stuff like candy being given out on halloween! I'm definitely unique though theres probably a couple other kids like me, its not popular how I have my personality though.

I love it how liberals don't know the difference between rednecks and republicans, when theres a huge one. Theres a ton of citgo stations around here though.
