  1. Show us your Farm Land!

Great work everyone! I really liked you region shot, V_Ware, it has a very organic/realistic look to it. I've been playing around with the Rural Renewal stuff some more and came up with this. I know that its not farmland but I figured I'd share it anyway. I know its not farmland but, I figured that I'd share it anyway. Cheers! I'm still mulling over weither not to turn this into a CJ or not.
  2. REPower modern wind turbines

Thanks, I hated the way the maxis wind turbines looked. Great work!
  3. The Age Gap

I'm still a bit of a lurker, reading CJ's , show your... threads and what not but, I have full intentions to become more active in the community as soon as Photoshop arrives in the mail... Anywho, I remember when I first joined Simtropolis at like 14, 15 and now I'm off to a tech school at 19. Wow, I never realized that there were soo many people here that were my own age. I kinda thought that most of them were much older. SC4 is still my #1 fav hobby, #2 being airsoft! ~Ciao
  4. Nice Cj so far! I really enjoy your style of your city: modern high rises intermixed with beautiful parks. I particularly liked the screenshot of the NAM avenue S-Curve. It kinda reminds me of Miami.
  5. Genevra Redux (v2.0) [SCJU Full Member]

My first impression is definately, wow! You really captured that Europian feel with the way you used streets sparingly along with lots of pedestrian areas. I particularly enjoyed custom lotting you used to blend Porkie's buildings seamlessly with the plazas and such. The market and victory arch came out very nice as well. I look forward to your next update. Nice work!
  6. Map This! - Cartography Services

Hiyas! Vandy, I have a question regarding the sketched map on the first page. How did you convert it to greyscale? Did you, in Paint Shop Pro, use the lines you drew as guides for using some sort of select tool to "select" certain areas and "fill in" the areas with the corresponding elevation's color? I'm also guessing this was done on a separate layer over the sketch which was a background. I'm not familiar with Paint Shop Pro but I probably apply what you did in Photoshop. I'm asking beacuse I have a couple of maps sketched up and I am planning on roughing them up in SC4FT but I need a greyscale map first. Sorry for the rant, I have a habit of getting carried away.... ~Ciao!
  7. Can't Find it? Ask Here!

Thanks for the help SimHoTToDDy I'll P.M. him and hope for the best. ~Ciao
  8. Can't Find it? Ask Here!

I'm wondering where I can download El Burro's Russian military props. I've been to his BAT page and didn't find a like anywhere and I know that he hasn't uploaded any of them to STEX. If any one knows I'd be much obliged. ~Ciao
  9. Soviet Black Sea Union (SBU)

Fantastic commie style city! I love what you did in the last pic with the added rust on the bridge. It makes the city feel used and lived in. The picture with the rail bridge reminds me of the Stadtbahn crossing that goes through Museum Island in Berlin. Your use of lighting really gives it a gloomy tone! I'll definitely be watching this CJ! ~Ciao
  10. I'm starting a region with the theme of the Ancient Egyptian culture surviving to the modern day. I already have the Mid East BATs from Frogface now I'm just looking for some Ancient Egypt BATs to add a little flair. I've checked STEX but came up with little. Anyone know of any other than whats on STEX?
  11. Looking for Ancient Egyptian BATs

Thanks for the help! I will be sure to check out the set of BATs by Onlyplace4. I had originally intended to post this in the "can't find it, ask here" thread ,as I vaguely remember seeing it at some point as I was lurking around the forums, and did try finding it. After about 7 minutes or so scouring (well thats a bit of an exaggeration) the forums I began wondering if I had ever seen it all....like it was some sort of mythological creature or something....alas, I am ranting as I have a habit of doing. So, I just posted it in, what seemed to be, the most logical place. Ciao!
  12. What Do You Think About Cities XL?

I had just finished watching Part I and Part II of the "Road, Bridges and Tunnels Construction" videos and I have to say I am amazed. Its as if almost all of our gripes with SC4 were resolved in one fell swoop. Before I hadn't been all that interested in the game; mainly I thought of it as another Sim City clone. Now I am extremely excited about its release as I don't have much faith in EA in releasing a proper sequel. I am also re leaved to hear about the implementation of an import/export system as well; something that was extremely important in other games in the genre such as Zeus and Pharaoh from Impressions Games. I will keep an eye on Cities XL in the comming months. ......I should probably get a new computer.... Well Ciao!
  13. The Fun Palace

Amazing! This is perfect for my tourist beach front area. Keep it up!
  14. A - Z Cities Game

    Eastport, Maine
  15. The Avenue Elevated Rail Project ( AERL )

I like style 2 it reminds me of the elevated rail lines in Chicago or, formerly, New York. I agree with Raritan Express that style 3 looks too cluttered. Style 1 doesn't look very sturdy to me but, that could change as you flesh out the models later. This mod could be put to very good use in CJs.
  16. Well I'm sure that no one really knew me through my previous account, SupremeGeneral. My former account was at least several years old. Before I just kind of lurked around the forums and downloaded stuff off of STEX, never really posting much of anything. I wanted to change my screen name and start contributing to the Sim City Community so, I started anew. I really hope this time around to be more sociable. C'yall around the forums!
  17. 3126 E A R T H - And, Today I Cried

Very well done! The storyline is quite unique and entertaining. I enjoyed your simple yet effective use of Photoshop to liven up the text. As a fan of story based CJs this one does not disappoint. I am definately going to keep my eye on this one. Looking forward to more!
