Today I am disgusted, shocked and angry at California's decision to uphold Prop 8, a gay marriage ban. Prop 8's constitutional amendment banning gay marriage after the california supreme court overturned previous bans on gay marriage is taking away rights already granted to california's gay population and therefore should be considered unconstitutional.

Wright Industries has been working on a new Hydrogen Reactor for several years, it's clean, efficient, and powerful. We just built our first prototype and it should be coming online any day now. We'd like you to consider Hydrogen power as a source of future energy for Virgin Shores. There is only one problem, cost. The thing is bloody expensive, $100,000 to build and an additional $10,000 a month to run the darn thing, But it should pay for itself in the long run. If you build it you won't have to build another powerplant for at least 20 years, and cost can be scaled back to meet demand. even if you don't build this plant, keep it in mind for the future.

I think that you should extend the preserve higher up the ridge and to the town border. Allow for hiking trails and lookout posts small ponds, and perhaps one little resort provided by yours truely, it will help cover the operating costs of the whole park. Wright Construction will even throw in the materials needed to build in park attractions, it should only end up costing the city a few thousand dollars. At Wright Industries, the preservation of nature is much more important than the bottom line.

psander5: I'd also like to hold the deed to properties next door to that building too, if possible, for future annex buildings, if demand warrants it. A 2x2 and a 4x4 section. sort of like the penobscot buildings in detroit. As you can see, I'm planning for long term growth. Naturally the first upgrade will come in about a decade, barring any recession. and will be on the other 2x2, and in thirty years we'll expand again with the 4x4. I want Virgin shores to become secondary headquarters, we will be moving half our staff from the Liberty City offices over the next few decades.

Perhaps 6.0 will be all futuristic and shiny, or even an art deco approach would be cool.

I sit at the head of the board for a rather large investment bank, Wright & Co., one of the few who are still in a rather decent financial position. I have been watching virgin shores for quite some time and I feel that expanding into the region would be beneficial to both the city of Virgin Shores and my company. Therefore I propose the construction of a new regional headquarters for Wright & Co. To be placed on the southwest corner of an intersection in the centre of the new downtown, the proposed building is the jackson tower, a small 2x2 office building. The upper floors are set back so as to allow light to reach the street and to minimize the shadow. The total cost of the project is estimated at $50,000. I believe that the construction of the jackson tower south of aspen park will create an iconic landmark for the City of Virgin Shores and will perhaps encourage more high end buisnesses to move to that area. Wrigt & Co. look forward to doing business with the City of Virgin Shores.

I still have no acess to the stex or the homepage, even the lex, my fallback won't work for me. I use Explorer. I just want some answers and some help. Please. I haven't been able to get on the stex or the simtropolis homepage since last month. So far my posts have been looked over, mostly due to the greyscale banner thing we had. I'm asking someone to help me get to the bottom of this. I know it's not a problem with my computer, I've rebooted the whole thing since I first couldn't get on the stex but as you can tell from my complaint, it didn't work

The Myans did not predict the end of the world, they just created a super accurate calendar that ends in december 2012. The only reasons I can see is that after 2012 it became to innacurate, or they became more concerned with affairs between their tribes. Revelations never gave a specific date for the rapture, infact many of the remaining apostles thought it would take place in their lifetime. The world has never ended when we think it will, nothing went wrong at midnight december 31st 1999 and nothing will happen in 2012.

I don't know why but I haven't been able to use the home page or the stex for two weeks, Has any one else had this problem. It's not the blue box thing, It just freezes.

Iv'e found a way back into the forums, The page flip bug at least has yielded some reward, By having to manually change the last digit in the adress bar it was saved by explorer. I can now circumvent the home page and hop right into the forums. But the problem may lie with my browser. If any one has alternate URL's from topics here at simtropolis and has the same problems I had I suggest you use them to jump you directly to the forums
