From what I'm reading here I won't be buying this.... after much loonngg anticipation.... and after being a SC player since ?1994? (wow, 15 year!?). This sounds like another SCSocieties to me... I'm a geek... I'm into city building and management, not social clubs and politics. SC4 is material (Civil Engineering/City Mgmt) with a social undertone... the undertone guides us (usually, lol)... yes, I love stats and graphs and curves. SCSocieties is social (pop culture) oriented with a material sideshow (the buildings). Vastly different target audience.
I know, I know, they say this isn't supposed to be another SimCity version.... but that isn't what they were touting when they came to this forum last year(+) looking for our guidance. What a disappointment.... I'm sad.... I need a drink.
MC, I expect that you've lost me.... too many signs here that you're not my kind of people (no forum on your official site?!?! WHO is your marketing director??!?!) I'm old-school .... believe in treating the customer welll.... going above and beyond.... now I see that concept really is dead. I doubt I'll be back to this CXL forum.
I guess they don't consider 333,907 Simtropolis users to be a marketable audience???? At $40 a pop that's $13,356,080 Gross.... surely there's room for profit there?? (Except if your CEO is collecting $3,000,000 a year salary)
