Well, this is my desktop, though i resized it from 1600x1200 -> 800x600 for posting here. Ages since i posted here, think i was still using win64x at that time. Im gonna install blackbox to get rid of the startmenublock, or rather, recolour it to black and restyle it. i have one to many folders on the desktop atm and thats because i need to lot quite a lot of aircraft for SIX, and i need to remember to do that.

2 Times, ie Level1 the one you build, then to Level2 and lastly to Level3, after that you will have to construct an new airport, or replace the earlier one. in total there are 9 levels of airports, the last beeing the International level3 airport ^^

Are they adiqitly funded, otherwise raising the funding to above normal should trigger the need expansion thing, aslong as the city actually demands an upgrade. they have to be at or near full capasity(at normal funding) to trigger the upgrade, and with more demand for an larger airport.

We just had first snow today, and the waterbarrels outside the house(that collects rainwater) were frosen when i got up at 4PM.

Aleking; Or an advanced computer and positioning system and actually, they do nearly the same thing with hundreds of ships into stockholm every year, though stockholms inner harbour is a tad larger and the ships a tad smaller(still some of, if not the largest passenger ferries(roll on roll offs) trafic the inner harbour, aswell as about 260 cruiseships per year(excluding the ones which are native to stockholm). I like your googleearth photo aswell looks really cool! jacukina, thanks ^^ Darkjedi... man, stop posting so nice pictures your making me jelous! camroon, thanks.

Okay, so we should post an image of our railroads ^^ not very much, but it took suprisingly long time to get the station placed correctly... then a scycraper blocked out that portion from the good angle anyway... but the station overlaps the tunnel and hides the tunnel and creates a visial plaza inbetween the w2wbuildings and the station. Dont know if i have any other nice looking railroads in Vando, but there might be some hidden somewhere ^^

Okay, long time since i posted here, so today we have a photoshoped image of Evarin's Harbour. or the innerone anyway. ad ive got an unphotoshopped image of the exact same spot just to show how much difference there actually is there ^^ and the unphotoshopped one(okay, i did use PS to crop, resize and optimise the image, but thats behind the scenes, nothing visal, not even text, pure sc4 coulorsetting, on my monitor mind you, and at a below normal resolution. I think its quite ammazing what difference can be made by just playing around with the coloursetting in photoshop.

just on the subject, the underground endstorage chamebers that are beeing built around the world. All the wastebarrles would have to have a sign to tell the future generations not to tough the stuff right? Well so they devised a sign with 3 pictures, from left to right - a healty looking stickman, then a stickman touching the barrel, then a dead stickman laying on the ground with crosses on his eyes(dead). Problem would come when a future generation that might be reading from the right to the left comes and finds the stuff(aka japanece and other asian languages)... Deadman would become superhappy if he thouched the barrel of waste... Still, i think the best place for waste is underground, way underground, since its not like were gonna live there anyway ^^ hopefully.

Show Us Your Nearest...Abandoned Railroad!
xiziz replied to LivingInThePast's topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
I Used to live on an abandoned railway line in Galway, ireland. I think its route was from Galway to Sligo, and that there have been talks of reopening the line. In Stockholm, sweden where i live now, there are a few rails that are never used anymore, though i dont know if they are derlict, ive just never seen trains on them, and the tunnels are all boarded up(talking about those tracks just beside Eriksdalsbadet, s -
I like this inisiative, might help to put a better face on the nuclear industry. and Murmansk isnt all that far off from me, probably some 1000km's but still ^^

Actually, most of the BATing is still to be done, so its not even 50% yet. All the details and final texture tweekings are left, aswell as ingame testrenders and such. after that and only then can modding start on the building, this however is not done by me but by Swamper77. Then comes testing to make sure everything is correct, then we should se a puplic release ^^

Mid-term Elections 2006: Still keep Simtropolis!
xiziz replied to Micah's topic in General Off-Topic
Well, im for pure and clean dirktatorship: "The difference between a democracy and a dirkctatorship is that in a democracy you vote first and take orders later; in a dictatorship you don't have to waste your time voting." -
Okay, ive added another two tiles to the station and fixed the weird large things on the roof. im now happy with the superstructure and will proceed to adding detals such as doors, lights, shops, officespace and roofjunk, including some copperplating around the top of the building to "hide" the roofjunk from the puplics eyes. I hope the thumbnail will popup here now... it should anyway ^^ Any sugestions?

cool, il post my airport map when i get back home. im at my cousins place right now(and have been since sunday). Janejacobs, Btw, what program do you use to make your maps, just Photoshop or some mapping program? I used Excel for my map, which really isnt designed for anything remotly close to the task ^^

I generally try to keep it to ground motorways, i only use elevated to make nicer higher looking bridges and for overpasses, i use a lot of tunnels aswell under urban areas, since im used to this occuring around densly developed areas(rather than pulling down a full row of blocks one usually just tunnels under them, atleast here in Stockholm). I use motorways as a way of funneling traffic over all my small rivers and such because they just complain about the ordinary roads beeing overcrowded, they dont do that with the motorways *yay* 1-0 to me against the Transit Advisor
