  1. Sterling & Lake Champlain Region

This is really good, I'd just want to see Pkwami Falls in relation to Bosworth. Like how transportation goes, etc.
  2. The US's most pathetic highways

duke87, it seems like most of the highways in the topic starter are just misnomers. theres only one that you really critisized the actual highway, and not the number they use. no one cares about the number, just where it goes. if you really care that much, go contact the Federal Highway Administration and demand change.
  3. Los Angeles vs San Francisco

For people choosing LA over SF, have you even BEEN to LA? I live here, and personally, besides maybe 10 areas (in the ENTIRE metro area) the city SUCKS. Its 90% ghetto, the roads are all terrible, the city spends most of its budget on turism and doesnt give a rats ass about the education system, has a failing transportation system, and the sprawl is as easy to navigate as an Old European City. so San Franciso all the way.
  4. Your city business districts

LOS ANGLELES Downtown LA- The main financial core for the Southland, it features some of the largest buildings on the West Coast. Although it is a major financial capital, it has many other neighborhoods as well, such as Chinatown, Little Tokyo, (probably the coolest neighborhood ever) the Fashion District, and Skid Row. (Yes, THE skid row.) The Music Center is here as well, with three theatres: The Mark Taper Forum, the Dorthy Chandler Pavillion, the Walt Disney Center, and the Ahmanson Theatre. Downtown LA has recently been seeing a rise in luxury condos in the South Park neighborhood, as well as the new development LA Live next to the Staples Center which is expected to hold many award shows in years time. The government center for Los Angeles City and County are here as well. (They arent consolidated.) Hollywood- Hollywood is the major entertainment center in Los Angeles and probably the United States all together. Hollywood is home to the Kodak, El Capitan, and Mann's Chinese Theaters. But contrary to popular belief, Hollywood is not home to the stars or the movie sets. In fact, the only major studio in Hollywood is Paramount. The reality is, most of Hollywood is a slum. There are many ethnic nighborhoods for the multitudes of immigrants from Europe and Asia such as Thai Town and Litle Armenia. Burbank- Now THIS is where the studios are! Burbank is located in the middle of the suburban sprawl of the San Fernando Valley, next to Glendale and North Hollywood. Burbank boasts a bustling downtown, as well as many studios, such as NBC, ABC, and the Warner Brothers Ranch. Long Beach- Ahh, Long Beach! Long Beach is on the opposite side of the LA Metro from Burbank. It is a port community, and t is the berthing point of both the Queen Mary and Queen Mary 2. Long Beach has a vibrant nightlife scene, and you can never go wrong to visit the aquarium located right on the water! Santa Monica- This is Santa Monica, the vibrant and exciting beach community of the North Bay. Santa Monica is home to countless beach hotels, the Santa Monica Promenade, and a pier amusement park reminicent of Coney Island. Century City- Century City is halfway between Hollywood and Santa Monica. The skyscrapers of Century City are made up of vario
  5. What Are Your Average Grades?

im in 8th grade, and my Fall Semester GPA was 2.833. i had 2 A's, 1 B, and 3 C's. A's in Band and US History, B in Dance, C's in Science, Algebra, and English.
  6. LA I think is by far the worst major city in the United States. I live here, and its not all its cooped up to be. The city is so vast and large that it is hard to get anywhere without a car (im only 13), there are only 5 subway/EL Rail Lines, and the bus system is horrible. Not only that, but the government of the city is bad too. Taxes and housing prices are high, and the city's budget is not spread evenly. Most money goes to tourism, while the city's schools are run down, teachers are underfunded, as well as hospitals. But we all know that someone who is taking a week vacation here is WAY more important than any citizen. Pshh. There is almost no middle class, you are eirther rich or poor. About 80% of the city is made up of poor neighborhoods, the only truely nice areas lying within city limits are Bel-Air, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades (where our corrupt governor lives) and the Hollywood Hills. Sure theres a lot to do, but with a poorly planned transport network, ineffective police department, screwed up city budget, a horrible image of lifestyle that the rest of tthe country sees (which is really maybe about .0000001% of the city's population) and most roads in complete disrepair, LA is a screwed up S-Hole, and I can't wait to leave.
  7. Our Own Region with Different Views

    i'll sure try it!
  8. Dutch 9 Building Pack

I'm going to start a Dutch style CJ, and I'm surely using this.
  9. San Fernando Valley Small

pretty good! there are a few problems though (i would know, i live here): the la river should be going through the southern portion near the hollyood hills.. Hansen Resovoir should be in the foothills of the Verdugo Mountains next to the Crescenta Valley.
  10. Dubai map fixed

i'm gonna start my first CJ on this!
