I'm not blaming Blizzard for anything, I'm simply stating another view. Blizzard took the game Dune and turned it into Warcraft, which was a huge seller which in turn was the demise of companies wanting to take a chance on new TBS games. Diablo, sure it was fun and I'm sure there are a lot of people out there saying the same thing about SCS. As far as mmo's needing to be dumbed down, a person could look at SC4 and say the exact same thing... none of that makes EA the "evil empire" that the original poster would have us believe.

New here and thought I would check out some of the talk on SCS. First thread I read was this one and I was reading allong untill I got to this quote "look at blizzard, the opposite of EA and arguably the best game makers out there" Every serious RPG player out there, every serious strategy gamer out there and every serious mmo player out there blames Blizzard for the downfall of serious computer gaming. Starting with Warcraft which was the complete ruin of turn based strategy games, Diablo which took RPGs to an unbelievably low level of intelect and then WoW which dumbed down mmo's for the mass market. Please if you want to point fingers at other companies, dont use Blizzard as an example - Blizzard is good for 2 things - taking everyone elses ideas and making them mass market and then making money. Its a formula that worked for them and everyone else is trying to do the same thing, including EA.
