I have been an avid player of the series since the very beginning, and while I do like improvement and new directions, this game goes past new directions to the ponit of creating an entirely different franchise. I like the whole idea of the "Society Simulator," After playing with this game for a few hours, I have been having fun with molding my people. But as stated, this is not a SimCity title- not at ALL. So I think they should make this the beginning of a new franchise, SimSociety, and come back with a REAL SimCity title. On another note, I simply could not see paying $50 for this title. I could see $20-$30, $30 if it came with more content. Though I will keep playingquote> I think SimCity Societies is a perfect name for it. It has a feel of SimCity to me. It's made by a different developer but I think the did a decent job. Plenty of room for improvements, but that's how it usually goes. If you think of a city they really aren't as big as in SimCity 4. Highways are usually handled federally, some schooling, policing etc. Subways and more traffic options sure would be nice, but I find making pretty cities is fun in this version. If people got over getting let down about it not being SimCity 5 like I did and have fun they might make the next version have all our desired additions. What we really need is SimNation.
