  1. [Removed irrelevant part - if you have an issue bring it up to a moderator or administrator in a private message on the forum - further clarification can be provided - Blue Lightning] My problem with Simcity 4 is the tilesets. The problem for me is twofold; Industry was never fixed to match tilesets. If you want to only build Chicago, you still get modern Industrial buildings (and possibly Commercial? Memory is hazy on this). Also, when you download buildings from the STEX, you have no ability to select what tileset(s) they belong to. Basically, I'm looking for some kind of simple to use that allows you to call up a building, original or modded, and view what tileset it belongs to, and edit it if you require. I want cities in SC4 that I can build historically! When I select Chicago, I only want older buildings, then when the "old town" is built up, I'll protect a few important buildings (query, check box, building doesn't ever change option.. again, memory hazy), then I'll switch to New York (and so on) and watch it progress. Thanks in advance Cottus.
  2. A few questions...

    1. One thing I felt SC4 lacked was the timeline... no longer could you see your city change over time. Do we have the capability to start a city in a particular time period, like say the 1900's, 1950's, or 2000's? 2. I hear custom maps are possible... is this true? If so, how are they done? 3. Can you make a greyscale (like in SC4) map and import it? 4. Does SCS have a good terraforming tool to use when starting a new city? Thanks in advance!
