Ok I made a huge metropolis of about 450,000. It had everything like a downtown, midtown, soaring skyscrapers, typical big city stuff. The cars jammed the streets and it was just one of those cities you could tell was "alive." But I was bored one day, so I decided to see what would happen if I took away all their power. Well naturally there was a type of domino effect. It was actually really cool to watch because I had night time set. Like the cities lights went out in blocks starting from a randomly set point, I think it started at the coast. But all of a sudden like the first 100 block went out, which were all the skyscrapers along the coastline. Then the row of towers behind them followed. Followed by even more apartments buildings/skyscrapers. And so on and so on. It was really cool to watch actually lol. But then since there was no power to make the water pumps work it went into the brown out phase and all the buildings lost water. With no power or water my population collapsed basically. It went from 450,000 to 230 in a about one minute. Then I decided to make it even worse by taking away all fire, police, education, and health funding. The population dropped to zero and all the buildings turned dilapidated. But also in a domino effect. So I after watching all of this occur from a zoomed out view, I went in for a closer look. It was really eerie to see all the empty streets. I started shooting down one of the busiest avenues, the "Boston Thruway" which at its peak had 7000 cars. It was so weird to see everything empty and dilapidated. It reminded me a lot of that one movie, I Am Legend. Am I the only one whos ever done this? lol

Does anybody know why the night lights on my downloaded buildings wont show up? It says that all the building have power and the street lights and other lights like in the parking lots (street lamps) light up. But the building itself doesnt...I know they're supposed to because in all the CJ's I look at the building are all lit up. I'm trying to make a CJ but i really need some night scenes and it looks really stupid if say, half the city is lit up and the rest is black. I guess I could say my city is going through rolling black outs lol. That is what it looks like after all. Well, any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to... The Kingdom of Patadav The Kingdom of Patadav is located off the coast of France. It is a small country with a population of about 960,000. The three main cities are shown on the map. They are Humidus, which is the capital, Camille Saint-Seans, and Fargo. Humidus is the largest city in Patadav and holds a population of about 500,000. Camille Saint-Seans is the second largest and boasts a population of around 350,000. Fargo is a small port city of about 110,000. The country follows a transportation similar to that of France. France has passed on many of its traditions to the Kingdom of Patadav. The ruler of The Kingdom Of Patadav is Queen Slevanan. The Queens Park is a monument dedicated to Queen Slevanan. Many small rowhomes and "mom and pop" stores soon flourished around the monument, which has become a big tourist attraction. Downtown Humidus is the economic powerhouse of the country. All of the major banks and other corporations have an office building in Humidus. You know youve hit it big once you can afford to buy real estate property here. Olde Towne is wear Humidus was first founded. This trendy neighborhood shows off the historical buildings that were once common in Humidus. It is protected by the Humidus Historical Society so that the historic buildings stay preserved for years to come. Patadavians love their history! + I hope everyone enjoyed my first update! That was just a quick overview of Humidus. I will go into further detail with the next update! : ]

Oh I love Lille! I still remember the night we were sitting there on MSN trying to pick out names for our French themed cities to showcase lol. Although I only see one picture I recognize from the sneak preview, which would make sense because you only showed me one picture lol. They all look great! Btw I like the ploppable cemetery ; ] now where ever did you get that idea from my dear Twigs? lol I still have yet to use those but you did a good job. Nice update! : ] <3 nickk

NOTE: You better read all of this lol it took me like 5 minutes of my life to type : ] Uh Amerikaner. I think your forgetting how prestigious the Kingdom of Patadav is here. The Queen and her royal subjects are some of the most civilized people on the face of the Earth. Our Kingdom defines trendy, hip, and modern. We are always a step ahead of the curve and if we EVER get behind. Well, lets just say Id hate to be the guy that misinformed us. Ill spare you the details of what happens. Anyway, back to how prestigious my fair Kingdom is. You could call it the "corner stone of modern society" quite frankly. So yes the Queen demands her own terminal and runway for her own personal safety ofcourse. She cant be mixed in with the commoners. If a poor fate would ever fall into the Queens hands, God only knows what would happen to the kingdom. They basically hang on her every word. I hope that if you care for the safety of the Queen and the longevity of her country that you will greatly consider at the very LEAST installing her own terminal. Ofcourse monetary payments monthly could be arranged lol. Well start at 5,000 Patadavians a month. Well I guess I should actually write something about your CJ lol. This update is quite amazing if I dont say so myself. I absolutely love this new city. Traveling by train is my favourite way to go so that segment of the update was awesome as well. I take the Metra (commuter train in Chicago) like every single day to go see my friends and what not. Plus my family and I took the Amtrak to New York once. It was so fun. Ok enough of the trains lol. Your cities are so beautiful Im not sure if I said this before or not. They give the glorious cities of Patadav a run for their money. Oh and incase you cant tell, Patadavians are very very modest lol (sarcasm of course). I love the canal its very nicely mixed in with your city and it breaks up the mosaic and makes your eye travel more instead of just getting caught up in the first half. WOW! Ok I think Im done now lol. <3 nickk

Woahh that was one heck of a read Anarchy! I must say that my favorite part was the male models ofcourse : ] But everything else looked great as well! You really gave Hypertrophy some culture with all those different brands and what not coming together in one huge fashion week. I bet the raves are to die for btw lol. It seems like one heck of a city if youre looking for somewhere to go partying lol. Which is right up my alley. Great update! I can only imagine what you have in store for us next. Nickk

@Jugioh1012: obviously this thread is dead. So just let it die already. If anything it should just be locked by a moderator so people will stop bumping it. And since its only one away from the top as of right now, me commenting it is not bumping it so dont even try and use that excuse to get me for "bumping it" : ]

Glad you like the update! -Panthersimcity4- Hopefully there will be more people like you discovering this CJ. Glad you like the city! Thanks for noticing the architecture as well, thats exactly what I was striving for! : ] -Twiggy!- lol I know 4.50 a gallon is so much! Itd probably just be easier to take the Elevated Rail or Subway. We will go shopping one day! Pft silly Twgs, it never rains in the glorious city of Humidus! We get all of our water from the snow up in the mountains haha. i want a pink Vespa! hehehe. <33 -Amerikaner- my baddd! lol I totally forgot to press G before I did that. Oh well this next update is so packed with concrete you cant even see the ground for the lines to be on lol. We all know who Lorraine buys its oil from anyway, ; ]. The great city of Humidus. Yes its true haha. -Psander5- lol yess traffic is quite horendous in Humidus. Glad you like the night shots I aim to please haha. The Patadavians arent very happy about the refinery either but theyve gotta get there oil from somewhere lol. Cya aroundd. UpdateTime! : ]This update is very special to me, I guess I should explain, so here goes. I am a 16 year old gay guy, so I figured I would showcase Humidus's very own Gay District. Following suit of my fellow COFR member, Anarchy Ive decided to release this as my next update! I hope you enjoy mine as much as you enjoyed his! When you fly into Humidus Int'l Airport (which I will picture in a later update) theGay District is one of the first things you will see. The three flags at the forefront of the neighborhood serve as its indicator. Above are three of the most popular clubs in the district. "The Rainbow Club" is first. It is one of the hipper clubs on the street. You cant go in here without being prepared to dance!! The next club is "Babylon". This is actually a chain club. They have many clubs in many cities. Anarchy actually featured Babylons club in his city of Hypertrophy. The last club is "The Loft" many up and coming bands perform here. If you want to get something different than the mainstream come here. This week the performers are: Bitter:Sweet, Tilly and the Wall, The Ting Tings, Metro Station, and PowerSpace. The District is home to about 1/4 of the cities population. Humidus has a fairly smaller population than its sister city of Hypertrophy. About everyone 1 in 4 people is homosexual. In this neighborhood old architecture combines with modern day lofts and trendy little stores. There is also a thriving open air market. Gregore Pavillion is an open air stage. There is a concert here almost every singlenight. Its located 2 blocks north of the Gay District, right off the coast. An amazing place to spend a night under the stars with the family, while listening to some of your favorite musicians. Just ignore the light pollution lol. The Pavillion was built during the "modern" phase of Humidus. This is a different view of thepavillion in day time and from another angle. The sound walls were put up to block out noise from traffic. If you look to the right you can see some tennis courts wedged in between the advertisements. Patadavians are avid tennis players. I took this picture a little bit ago. I just thought it looked really beautiful so I threw it in with this update. In the bottom right corner your can see part of the Gay District. You can also see Downtown located north of the ocean. In the bottom left corner a little bit of the oil refinery is pictured. All of the other jumbles of lights are Olde Towne and other boroughs I havent covered yet. I hope everyone enjoyed this update as much I enjoyed making it. I wanna thank everyone for being so supportive of my CJ! : ] Next update will be soon! Nickk
