Bored of glass My second vote would be for New York purely for nostalgia.....

well well i didn't know Crossharbour had been renamed as Baltimore wharf, I worked on that earlier this year! Keep hearing rumours that various things have been cancelled or postponed, notably the pinnacle, but i drove past it the other day and its still ongoing... Thanks for mentioning the orgin of the pic, I got it of skyscrapernews.com but it seems to have been taken down....

Hi all sorry about the massiveness of this file, but it does quite nicely show the future skyline of London, 2012, looking North! The named buildings are the ones under construction, ranging from 80m to 310m, although this pic is oldish so some of the proposed buildings have been cancelled. Most of the taller ones are still going ahead particularly in the City and Canary Wharf. This doesn't show the Croydon skyline in south London, which features several skyscrapers inlcuding proposed towers up to 200m, and also the Stratford City develepmont which includes the Olympic park and numerous skscrapers. All in all there are around 5 or 6 clusters. I think. Hopefully the credit crunch will be over by 2012 or there will be a lot of empty buildings out there....! Finally - I didn't do this. So all credit to whoever did.

great city, love the english look! just one question, how do you get a city composed of english buildings...? i am aware i can download various ploppable buildings, and also various housing packs, such as gascooker's excellent BATs, but how to make them appear in my city? i look forward to building my first british city! thanks in advance!

Hi all. I was just wondering if there has been any further development with this. I recently added HSRP to my city and have encountered huge problems with pathfinding and journey times. In fact I think I will have to get rid of HSRP and rebuild my city... This is not a complaint, I don't know anything about modding or how to solve pathfinding issues so I can't really offer an alternative... sorry about that! Just wondering if this project is ongoing. I thought the problem was maybe due to the "commuting cirlcle" problem, but after redesgning my neighbor connections, I don't believe that is the cause of the pathfinding and commute time issues. Good luck if you are still developing HSRP!

this has to be one of the most important things i've found on this whole site, and that is really saying something. massive congrats to everyone who figured out what causes all those annoying glitches. finally i understand why sims commute out of one neighbour connection and don't reappear on the other side. i can't believe EA put out a game wth such a fundamental flaw... the whole point was to builg interconnected cities, and yet those connections don't really even work... it all makes sense - or not! oh well, all those expensive mass transit systems look good, even if they don't work, and never will. i don't know whether to laugh or cry...!

i don't! just to make it clear, the city i loaded up was not created with rush hour and was before i installed any plugins, and my computer still froze, even though it used to work just fine. which means it is not any plugins causing the problem, because the city i used was an old one with no plugins updates or anything else.... which means it must be a hardware or software problem, and i'm still stuck.

hey thanks for your reply...! update from before, i uninstalled all of sc4, then reinstalled just the original sc4 without rush hour and loaded up my old fairly large city from years ago, which used to work fine, (no plugins, no rush hour, no nothing)... it froze up in less than 5 minutes. hmmm. my computer hardware was uptodate as of late 2002 - early 2003 (i know, stone age!!) but sc4 rush hour was a 2003 game so to my mind that means it should still work... although my videocard is not on the instruction manual's list of recommeneded video cards, so maybe thats it..? its 5 years old after all.... does hardware "wear out" in that kind of time? maybe my videocard is not compatible with the latest DirectX 9.0 which i have installed...? its probably time i updated some of the hardware anyway lol i'm grasping at straws here!

SOS!! (save our simcity) My computer keeps freezing up when I play SC4 rush hour, its driving me mad and I've tried everything I've found as listed below to try and fix the problem. So I was hoping one of you good people had some more help... I don't know too much about how computers work but I hear this problem is usually something to do with memory issues... my computer is pretty old, but it used to work fine without rush hour installed and meets the basic recommended config.. so I give up * Computer spec: AMD1333ghz processor 512 memory powerVR kyro 64 graphics (latest available driver was 2002...i think) directX 9.0 Windows XP *virtual memory set to 4GB with 5GB spare on HDD *I have done defrag, disk clean up, error checking *done directX diagnostic *have tried playing game without internet and virus program running. I have numerous plugins and the latest updates installed from simcity.com which could be something to do with it? i have the left hand drive plugin installed but its never really worked... maybe that has something to do with it... i had built up a new city with several linked cities, after reaching a certain point of about 100000sims in the largest central city, things started to go pear shaped. i performed all of the above HDD cleanups and did away with several of the plugins i wasn't using, and things were working alright for a bit, got up to 150000sims and now its freezing up again, but i have run out of ideas after repeating everything i tried before!! what else can i do... i would go as far as buying a larger memory stick if i thought that would solve it. the computer occasionally freezes up when i am on the net also... any help will be appreciated!!
