Hey I love this. I was an LDS missionary in Merida in the mid 90s. I have very fond feelings for that town. I spent a lot of time in the downtown area near the bus terminal and in the east side of town. I also spent time in Uman and Motul. I wish someone could BAT the convent in Izamal, the pyramid at Uxmal, the cathedral in Merida, or any of the fincas and haciendas. Another idea is the big traffic circle on the Paseo de Montejo. I got to see some very rustic ruins that had not been excavated and even found some busted pottery. Progreso is a nice town.
