I try to set them back up, but my settings totally disappear when I start the game up again. and for the high, medium, and low settings, none of them are selected at all!

Wierdest thing ever: I have never had this problem. I read this thread, opened up sim city to play, and i found the same thing is happening to my city! No joke.

I have a Core 2 Duo overclocked at 2.3 GHZ, 8800 GTS superclocked, and 2 gigs of ram. This game is slow when zooming in and out, and moving around. Tell me how you did it.

how big do you make your zones 4x4? some of them seem pretty big

Those tan tiles, does anyone use them?

Also I know for res and com the popular grid styles are 4x4 and 6x6, but what about industrial?

Yeah I was thinking of doing that, I will have to deal with a huge loss of revenue right at the beginning though, I hope I can handle it. Also, at what point population should I start thinking of putting an airport in? Where should I locate it? Also, at what population so you start seeing the big skyscrapers, I have about 100k in my city, and I have a few, but they are of the smaller variety, and disperssed around the map.

Well I sort of have that problem right now, I am trying to get all of my dirty industry out of my city, and just have it high tech. Both my I-M and I-D bars are all the way down, but they still wont move out. Also my res bars are down and they wont go back up, what should I do?

I totally interchange residential, commerical, and industrial. I really don't have many "sections" that simply have 1 type. Is this bad?

Whats the advantage to these? How should you set these up?

Everything was fine the last time I saved it, and when I loaded my city up today, my water deal with a neighboring city was gone, and also if I were to get rid of my power and garbage deal, I would not be able to redo the deal. Whats going on?

what are these stages that I keep seeing? are they stages of a building, or stages of your population that determine the size of the building. It just seems to strange some of those huge buildings are only 4 of those tiny squares I have a city with 80k people, and although they aren't sky scrapers, a great deal are 4x3
