  1. XBOX 360, PS3 or Wii?

I have nothing against American video games so I'm definitely going with the 360 here because of the overall content. Halo 3+Gears of War 2+Bioshock+COD4+XBOX live=good times. I never owned the first Xbox, but I have a PS2 and all of the nintendo consoles. I must say those companies really let me down this time. Wii has my favorite games like Zelda and Metroid but the wi-fi and DLC is almost non-existent on most games The wi-fi play on Super Smash bros is just awful and I don't even bother to use it anymore. I don't see the point in buying a PS3 just for Metal gear Solid 4(I'll play that at my friends house). Even though live isn't free, you can definitely see the difference in quality. I'm not sure about PS3's online service because my friend won't use it(talk about a waste!). I'd rank this round Xbox 360>Wii>PS3 because of a lack of knowledge on PS3.
  2. Japan Prepares to Destroy North Korean Launch

Okay, I have no knowledge about the way we put satellites into space. But does that NK rocket absolutely have to fly over Japan to get into orbit?
  3. Gaza / Israel

Doesn't the UN have "peacekeeping" forces for this kind of situation?
  4. Wal-Mart Employee Trampled to Death

Every country has their share of idiots. Killing a man for some discounted crap. How sad.
  5. Los Angeles vs San Francisco

I really like San Francisco better because I hate L.A's constantly hot weather (I know, I'm weird). My mom has always wanted to move to San Francisco but it's very expensive so we have to stay in Long Beach. L.A is still cool though, very diverse, best beaches around.. If you like a dense city with cool, foggy weather, and you don't mind public transportation, go to San Francisco. If you like your space, you enjoy warm sunny weather, and you have A CAR, go to Los Angeles. Both cities have a lot to offer, and are great examples of why California is so awesome. My personal favorite is Seattle though!
  6. Best City Skyline

When it's not completely covered in smog, L.A looks great! Palm trees+Downtown+San Gabriel Mountains=Awesome. I think Seattle takes this prize because of the Space Needle and Mt. Rainer. It's a perfect combo!
  7. The US's most pathetic highways

I have to say, almost every highway/freeway in the Los Angeles area is jammed at certain times. And around here mass transit is usually not an option. I think the worst freeways are the Inland Empire routes I-10, CA 60, and CA 91 When I used to live in Riverside, Ca, my family had to commute on CA 60 & I-10 all the way to Santa Monica (My dad took CA-91 down to Long Beach which is an entirely different commuter's hell). It is a painfully long ride. I'm not sure how or why my parents did this for so long. The commute was TERRIBLE almost the entire way. The worst part was where CA-60 meets I-10, I-5, and U.S 101 at a monster called the East L.A Interchange. Traffic would regularly come to a complete stop here. The next part of our commute was pretty slow from Downtown to Mid City on I-10. The last section of the commute was where I-10 meets I-405 (One of L.A's famous parking lots). I remember we would spend at the least 5 hours round trip a day. Eventually the commute started driving my parents crazy and we settled for a smaller, more expensive but much closer house in Long Beach. My parents still have to deal with snail traffic on the I-405 and I-110 freeways but it's a lot better than coming from Riverside. I think highways are extremely important to the Los Angeles area and the city could not function without them, however we need to make some serious upgrades to them. The 3 freeways that take people to and from Riverside/San Bernardino counties(I-10, CA 60, & CA 91) need to be a lot wider to handle the ever-increasing amount of traffic. They would probably still be crowded, but it would be much better than it is now. I've also heard that US 101 coming from Ventura county is another L.A nightmare.
