The potential isnt enough. Cities XL was made out of a wrong perspective right from the start. Focus on a strange MMO idea and lack of intrest for the gamers. It probably is easier to start on a new game than do something great out of Cities XL. The whole basics of the game are not good enough. The different citizengroups are just weird and was never liked.

I am very happy with the game. I really hated CXL 2009 but this one feels solid. I have allready had much more fun with CXL2011 than I ever had with CXL. Yes, the game is worth the money. (if you like citybuilding games) With some mods this game will be great I think. 80% is a fair verdict.

i agrre that the games feels solid and very good. The improvement compared to CXL 2009 is big! It is difficult for me to point out something special but the game over all feels good. I have played for a while now and I think it is better than Sim City 4. But this is more than 5 years later and CXL can improve even more.

I hope they skip "XL" for the next product. The name stinks cause of the way MC has handled it. As someone requested. Change name. "Cities 2011" would be simple and good!

MODABLE GAME What is needed is a modable game. Then the game will at least have the posability to create a good community and the game can survive. Else it will just be fun for a short moment and then it will be over.

I knew that they shut down the forum for maintance during beta but where is it now? Is it down for good?
