  1. That certain was a kick in the nutz

Well, if the game could get some quality modders behind it, many things would be accomplished. Unfortunately the word of mouth is so bad even when not trying the game first that people that are heavily into SC4 still to this day in modding, have no desire to even try the game let alone mod any of it. There is a great deal of stuff that can be modded into the game, but the modding community behind the game is very tiny and lacks more than a couple people that really know what they are doing. Of course if TM would get off the duffs and get them a way of creating really new buildings instead of reskinning old ones, that would help tremendously as well. I personally can only build so many cities that have row after row of row houses standing in a row. (say that fast 10 times). Sadly the bottom line is that they simply should have named it something else and then it's likely they would have sold better, and had more modders involved with the game.
  2. SimCity Societies Landscapes Mod

Good Job and don't listen to those that don't like SCS. If simtropolis didn't want it here they they best change their description on their website to only include SC4. But its apparent by the description they use for the website at the top of the browser window that they wish to gain SCS users as well. Nice job on the textures, they look great in the game.
  3. SimCitySocieties will be a great game

Actually, IMO SCS will be a really "good" game after modders get cracking on creating really custom buildings with new models. Being able to have hundreds of different style houses and business's and props will make the game quite enjoyable IMO. As it is right now, i'ts a bit tiresome to look at a city with the same 3 style mansions, or haciendas all over the city. Give me unique homes for each time I place one and I'll be enjoying to build my city. I use to care that it's not really Simcity, but not anymore. Now it's just another relaxing enjoyable city building game. In the beginning though I was hot under the collar like many about EA using the SC franchise name for this, but I really don't care anymore, if they are going to make a real SC5 then they'll make one, if not then theres nothing I nor anybody around here can do about it. So take it for what it is, a simple enjoyable city plopping building game and get those talented modders cracking on designing new models, new programming, and new functions into the game. The scripts have a huge amount of possibilities on what can be added to the game by the gamers themselves without having to wait on EA to do it for us. Its an incomplete game. All you have to do is buy the expansion packs to finish the game. Then you will be screwed spending an exra $100 for free features. EA isnt dumb. They are about business. This is EA's tactic get used to it. quote>
