I really need to find a small (like, 1x2 or 2x3), functional parking lot. I have a suburban city and I would like to place a parking lot, but the huge, nasty maxis one doesn't quite fit in. The parking lots I have been able to find on the STEX are all underground (doesn't make much sense in a suburb). I know it exists; I have seen it before, but now it eludes my most diligent of searches.

I think it would be ironic if the SC community ended up favoring a new City Life game over SCS. However, I think that we should wait and see what SCS is really like. It could be a good game on its own, even if it's not like the other SimCity games. I do think that from a business and financial perspective, this game might make far more money than the realistic, ultra-complicated game that we (in general) want. If SCS is heavily moddable, perhaps we could change it to better suit our tastes.

Sorry I didn't think to include information. Here's my info: OS: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 2 Browser: IE 7.0.5730.11 I also have FF 2.0.0.4, but the dls work more often on it (still not always, and it's apparently random when they do or do not work) URL: All of the downloads run into this problem, but here's a particularly enraging one: [bAH! of course it works this time] ...anyway all of them run into this problem I'd say about 90% of the time, and persistently re-trying seems to help. I don't have a shot of the error message (because it just worked) so you'll have to rely upon someone else for that. I never restarted my computer since the last post I made, so maybe the method I used really did help? I have no idea why it would, and I don't intend to endorse it as a solution.

I have a different error with Buddybud's walls. They work just fine, and they show up when I place them, but the gaudy purple wireframe (very useful when placing them) won't go away after i place them, so now my sunken highway looks like this:

I cant download anything off the STEX either. When i click on the name of the mod (to get details or whatever) it opens up the very same window i was just in, which may appear to some to have done absoloutely nothing, when it actually took you to the top of the page. I can get plenty of the same stuff from SC4D, but there's a lot here that I can't find there (like hole digging lots). Messing with my firewall changes nothing, and IE and FF have the same problems. Sometimes (very rarely) i can get it to download in FF, but I always get "File corrupt" or "Nothing to extract" when I try to open the .zips. That I am not the only one with this problem means that there might be a conflict between something in these files, and some common programs on peoples' computers, since I doubt all these STEX files are actually corrupt or damaged. Suffice to say that this frustrates me, and I should like to hear any possible solutions. **UPDATE** I just closed all of the unneccesary processes with my good 'ol friend [ctrl]+[Alt]+[Delete], and now I can successfully download files. I don't know if it works now because of what I did, or if it was just random, but if you know how to do it (don't try if you don't, unless you want to risk crashing your computer or losing information) you should give it a try and see if it helps.

I did manage to download it from SC4Devotion successfuly (btw, the confirmation e-mail is marked as spam for some reason) but there's a whole bunch of cool stuff here that I can't get (or can only get inferior versions of) at SC4Devotion. I've successfully downloaded only 2 or 3 things here, and it seems like everything else is corrupt or whatever. I doubt all the files on this site are damaged, so I imagine that there must be something unusual about the files that most extractors don't like.

I download the .zip file successfully, but when i try to extract, i get "no files to extract". When i try to open the file (without extracting) i get "The compressed (zipped) folder is invalid or corrupted." Bah! I throw a brick at this file! The other mods I have downloaded from this site work just dandy, and have given me no problems.
