Here's a news article on Space.com that details a conference that astronomers are having to try to get a consensus on the planet definition. In my opinion, this is a more scientific way of getting a consensus definition, instead of the IAU or a comittee coming up with one. Remember the debate about spiral nebulae . Click here for it.

As far as I know, there are 2 ways you could do an HOV lane. First, you could have a ploppable lot only allowing bus traffic. These are used in some streets in the Greater Terran Region. Secondly, a texture mod could be developed to have HOV markings on a lane, although this would just be functional eyecandy. However, the Sims travelling could have high occupancy vehicles, since you never know .

More shall be coming. roboo1: Thanks. A new rail spur has been built from Forest Basin to the main line in East Valley to carry more oil to Virgin Shores for refinement. It starts here, at this freight station. If anyone knows of a better one than this for oil, please reply. It proceeds into a canyon of cut rock, before going into a tunnel: It comes out, and parallels the route of SR-285. Exposed rock is covered by retaining walls. The rail spur then goes into another tunnel: And proceeds northward to East Valley: When it enters East Valley, it gently slopes downwards. Retaining walls for this area have not been built yet: The rail spur crosses SR-285, and curves upward: At high elevations, the rail spur curves gently eastward, and goes into another tunnel: A few hundred meters later, it emerges in a deep trench, and prepares to merge with the main line. Note that west is at the top of this photo: Lastly, it marges with the main line via a rail interchange. The continuation of it goes to the forests of northern East Valley, which is being exploited for lumber. That's all for this update. As always, please post your comments, questions, and suggestions.

A nice mini-update. I spy a third solar collector . Although it was a little sudden, I like all the resort attachments, especially the marina. The reason there's only about 1 update per page now is not because updates come less often. It's because replies now are so active with the city council and such. It should have not had the Simcity name on it. That is the problem. If it was called "Sim Societies", then no one here would have a problem with it. A free demo? I wouldn't get it if they paid me to do so.

As I know nothing about texturing netowrks, I can't give you an expert answer. But it seems that somehow during your work the textures got messed up. Or maybe when you made the DAT? I have little to no clue as to what is going on.

Not much going on DOT-wise. Archean: Here at ST, you can have as many CJ's as you want. I have 2 active CJ's, so does DTP, and I think un1 once had 2 active ones. Having 2 active ones is beneficial. Especially if your primary one is a story-based one, and the secondary one is a showcase of your other work. Myself and DTP appear to be doing well with this arrangement. See if it works for you. I like it overall. I like the curved tunnels, the road textures, and the bridges. Some things I noticed were unanswered. Will we be able to choose what style of bridge we build? Will we be able to choose what style of piers we use for the elevated segments? Other than these questions, the game looks very good. I love the landscape. It looks so real I could touch it. I will looking forward to more videos about CXL. When or if I see differing highways with RHW-like ramps and with an easy customization tool, you can count me as a potential buyer. - Patricius Maximus

Looks very good to me. If we have a choice about what kind of bridge is built, what kind of entrance the tunnel has, and the style of piers, then I think it's great.

It's nice to see a development update again. It's looking good as always. I suppose the weave lane was necessary because of limited space? When I develop a city, I build more bridges, ramps, and spaghetti junctions until weaving has been completely eliminated. Of course, I'm sure you've seen that in the Patrician Showcase. I have McAffee Total Protection installed on my computer. I also have the default Windows Defender enabled. So, I think I have a good defense against malware. I don't know how you get rid of it. Unless you have anti-virus software on your computer, I haven't got a clue. I also have that annoying User Account Control disabled (that thing tries to usurp control of your computer!). It is eerie how it's connected to the same sites that were connected to the ST Outage. Disturbing .
