I would have updated yesterday, but I was sick. In my bedroom, a big model of mine was cutting off the air from my vent, and I didn't have a fan on and I had a lot of covers. I got hot, sweated, then it evaporated. I went into a state of hyperthermia (not to be confused with hypothermia). I woke up at 04:30 instead of my usual time of 04:00. I had a fever, a pain in my head, and was confused. I made my way into my den, fixed a cold rag, turned on my fan, and gradually recovered. I also had an early breakfast. Well, that's the story of my sickness. Today I'm back on my feet, and able to update. So, here's the update. The dispute between East Valley and Franklin Oil has been resolved. The Franklin Assembly negotiated a deal with East Valley -- Franklin would launch a criminal investigation into Franklin Oil, and East Valley would lift their trade embargo. All of a sudden, the oil fields seem a lot more lucrative to the other oil companies.... The ring road around Hanging Cliff has been completed with parklands, and new commercial has already popped up: Here's a closeup of the ring road: And of the GLR-Rail transfer station. As you wish, iamccman. You are the Mayor and executive. I suppose the Planning can fill in for some of the DOT's duties. But be advised that I am not a full-time head, just the senior advisor. With that in mind, I will give some advice . I advise that the slopes be of a lower grade. I would advise downloading a moderate slope mod. There is weaving on Highway 10 in between the ramps. Could they be inverted so that they could be kind of a parclo-like shape? Or perhaps it could be converted into a diamond. Either way, this weaving needs to be fixed. I just can't stand it. Patricius Maximus Appointed Senior DOT Advisor I have gotten news from iamccman that I have been appointed to the position of Senior DOT Advisor. This means that I give reccomendations to the DOT commissioner, but they have little binding power on him/her. I accepted the position because I do not have the time to be a full-time commissioner, but I would also like to review the transit system and to improve it. I may not be here as often as I am in Virgin Shores, but I will put this CJ in my favorites, and visit it as often as I can. I look forward to working as Senior DOT Advisor. The proposal made by Thornwalker has already been rejected. However, the DOT has a comment on it. The "half-clover" you mentioned in your proposal would have been rejected by the DOT because of two things: 1. There is weaving on the interchange. 2. The interchange's size is vastly underestimated. The real size of it would create weaving conflicts with the trumpet. The DOT asks that everyone keep this in mind for future interchange proposals. Also, LIH and myself have been in private communication. A new hotel in Central Franklin will be featured in the next update, the 70th. Lastly, today marks 3 calendar months since the beginning of Franklin County. The next update will be number 70 as well. So, some important announcements are happening this week. Anyway, let's get to the update . In Central Franklin, the terrain has been leveled for the new developments. Here is an overview: In Hanging Cliff, a ring road has been built around the main city, which sets the dividing line between the proposed commercial and residential developments. When the area is built up, the road will be lined with parks. In East Valley, a dispute has arisen between Franklin Oil and the government-owned East Valley Lumber Company. Franklin Oil is attempting to acquire East Valley Lumber, as an expansion of their business. The problem is that, since East Valley Lumber is owned by the East Valley government, and the government there is of the residents, then Franklin Oil would be committing a crime under the law of the county, as it is illegal for a corporation there to acquire the property of the citizens without their consent. Nevertheless, Franklin Oil is attempting to do so. In response, the East Valley Assembly has declared a trade embargo with Franklin County. The lumber business has shut down, and the housing expansion has been delayed. In addition, the rail line service has been halted to Franklin County. The I-30 freeway is still open. Google is a good search engine. It's also a good satellite viewing program. And a damn good online map. But its video site fell short (no matter, they just bought YouTube instead), its email service (though popular) is largely superfluous due to the existence of so many other services that do exactly the same thing, and its special toolbar is a completely useless and redundant waste of pixels on the screen.quote> I agree with most of that. Sometimes I forget what I was going to search for after that . But, I agree that a lot of the toolbar is useless. One of my friends has G-mail, and they like it. However, I like my Yahoo! account the best, and I stick with that. I'm looking at the Google browser and it looks awfully similar to IE, and the new tab thing with the websites turns me off. What will Google make next? Let's see... After this they'll make their own operating system, and then their own computers . Really, I just think that Google is just looking for something to keep them busy. This was done to reduce disorientation from oncoming traffic: And a moderate capacity junction that replaced an avenue roundabout. Happy Labour Day! The update is great. I like the signs. I think I'll download them myself. I like how we can see the evolution of the termini intersection, as you call it. The DOT approves the proposed upgrade of New Sibelius Lane. The DOT reccomeds for best traffic flow that the upgrade extend northward to the 90 degree turn and terminate there. The reccomendation is left to the mayor's discretion. Wow, Virgin Shores has grown. So much to look at. It may be better if updates were smaller and more often. Just an idea, you may not be able to do so. Also, the higher contrast in the pics hurts my eyes. Could it be toned down? That's all. The DOT will be on the lookout for new problems.
