    never mind. i had already restarted gmax i just had to restart. or reinstall. i did both, and somehow it got fixed. anyway, thanks!

    Thanks, swat. Now I have a different problem though. I installed gmax and the BAT, but now when I try to open BAT it says "GMAXLOC environment variable not found."
