Domeston, North Dakota, USA: the real American metropolis!
edmonton_stinks replied to tomdapom's topic in SC4 City Journals
Ah, so Buchanan is wealthy. Thought so. The rest of East Domeston is a brilliantly crafted ghetto. Seems like there are some good patches (like near the park that never was) and bad patches (like the rest). Love the warehouses. -
I don't like the grey roads either. I do like the building variety but the skyscrapers are a little spread out. Downtown should look better once it's filled out. May I suggest midrises and rowhomes?
-
Wow. That region is amazing. Looks like it has the potential to become a fantastic port city. Keep it up!
-
Tough break there. Can't wait to see what else Sao Vincente has in store.
-
Murietta Townhomes look nicer without the brutal downpour, I think. I take it the typhoon was resolved? You just keep coming with the colours. Must look like a kaleidoscope on Google Maps.
-
Hmm. I guess I'm reserved until I actually see the city, but I like the opening picture there. Sounds like it should be a good one.
-
Pretty region. It'll be nice to see it develop.

Wow, East Domeston looks a lot nicer this time around. Seems like it would have potential, because the houses are nice, but they're abandoned. If there were to be some sort of economic comeback or urban revitalization, East Domeston could become pretty affluent from the looks of it. Is Buchanan supposed to be a slum? It looks really nice. Like a historical district, but people actually live there. -
Stupid imageshack! Hopefully we'll get to see the skyscraper avenue and rich suburb, but for now, the oil rigs look great. And yes, I am from Calgary.
-
I like St. Alexis. Looks like you could definitely go there to unwind.
-
Nice overview. It'll be interesting to see what the city looks like closer up.
-
Sorry to hear about your computer. Good luck with the new region.
-
Ooh! Urban revitalization! NFC looks great so far. Can't wait to see what new projects are in store.
-
Little did they know, indeed. Glad to have discovered this CJ. Interesting concept. Porto Floresta looks good.

Vroom! Vroom Vroom! And Midland is just a blip in the rear view mirror. (8)Oh, I await the day Good fortune comes our way And we ride down the Kings Highway-yyayyyy-yayy

Wow. Big. Looks polluting-y. Is this set in the future? Cause there's still a lot of petroleum thirst going on.

What about transportation infrastructure?
edmonton_stinks replied to Random_82's topic in City-Building Games
Meh, there's always Cities Unlimited. Or Urbs Urbis. We'll see. They did say that SCS might be moddable--maybe some ST-ish people could tinker with it a little and produce MORE THAN ONE ROAD All we really have is undivided avenues. That doesn't work. For now I'm stalling. Leaning towards fold. -

Donald looks great. Ellsworth Lofts & SmalltownUSA stuff are well used. Also love the New York style suburbs. Very classy looking. I have played soccer in the snow, just not for a while. Track season was the first thing that jumped to mind. -
Ooh! Swanky. Looks great. Again, very colourful.
-
Where did you get the colourful rowhouses in 03-08? Those are nice.
-
Well, this might be good. Sounds like you're creating a fairly sizable city. I'd like to see the downtown if you get a chance.
-
Oh man! I loved choose your own adventures! I still love them! Except I died a lot. That was never fun. I vote oncoming traffic. Breaking through the roadblock sounds like it would create a hellish firestorm, and I'd like to see this guy live through a few more posts.
-
I don't know, I think those high rises look pretty attractive. I would definitely live there. Oh. I'll bet a tourist trap is coming next! Glad to be useful.
-
This has potential, but I can't pass judgment until I've seen something.
-
Fern! You got a CJ! Good work so far. Sounds very idyllic.
