Nice airport. But the runways are too short for an international airport. Runways at int. airports are usually 4 km or longer. And 4 km on SimCity 4 is as long as a large city size, or 250 tiles. You may have problem with building realistic runways though, like everyone else with realistic airport.

Nice region you got there. Hope that you're first update is fantastic.

Nice CJ I got to say. Although I've been following this CJ since I-Don't-Know-When, this is my first comment here. The way you planted the whole region (or most of it) with trees are just truly amazing. Good plot too. -

Nice non-SC4 CJ there. First of a kind on this forum. Cool.

Hi and welcome to Raffore Islands, a place full of historical sites and culture. People from all around the world come and live in this wonderful country. Asia, Europe, Africa. Basically from every corner of the world. Raffore Islands had been very well known as of 2000s. Both Raffore Islands and Singapore also have bilateral ties with each other. In fact, both of the countries share the same currency, the Singapore Dollar, and many other items, both politically and economically, under the Separation of Singapore and Raffore Islands Agreement. For more information on Raffore Islands, go to this link. The Final Update: Embassy on Raffore Islands Hi. I'm back from the 4 - 5 months absense from Simtropolis. Sorry for not updating my CJ for a very long time as I am busy with real-life and something new... the all - new Raffore Islands! Yup. For these 4 - 5 months, I have been planning for a new version of Raffore Islands. And I will promise you that the new version will be better that the old one. For now, here's a video of some final unreleased pictures of the Old Raffore Islands: [There seems to be some problems making YouTube videos appear on this post. So, for now, please go to this link ( ) to watch the video.] Right now, back to business. To prepare for the new Raffore Islands, all of you will have a chance to have an embassy on Raffore Islands. Here are some thing to take note: 1) You are required to fully complete the Embassy Application Form (EAF) (available below) in order to have a chance to have an embassy on Raffore Islands. A n/a reply is required for those questions you are unable to answer. 2) All Confederacy of Free Regions (COFR) members who have submitted their EAF early do not need to re-submit the EAF again. 3) Those COFR members who have not sumbitted their EAF early may choose to submit it here. However, your EAF may not get a chance to be accepted due to lack of available land to build your embassy design of your choice. So here's the Embassy Application Form: Name of country - Year of creation/independence/etc. - Current leader and designation - Country's capital - Time Zone - Continent - Union (if any) - Preferred embassy design (optional) - Flag (optional but recommended) - Details of embassy form: Name of country: The name of your country/CJ of course Year of creation/independence/etc.: When was your country formed? When did it became independent? Current leader and designation: Full name of the current leader and its designation (Prime Minister/President/Leader) Country's capital: Name of the country's capital Time Zone: Tell me your CJ's time zone or location of your CJ on the Earth Map if you don't know your CJ's time zone Continent: The continent your CJ is located Union (if any): State the full name your the union your CJ is currently under. Please don't insert United Nations. Preferred embassy design (optional): If you refer your own embassy design, please post a link to the BAT so that I can download it (e.g. https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=20560&v=1). This is optional though. Flag (optional but recommended): Post a picture of your CJ's flag. This is optional. The last date you can submit the embassy form is 7 December 2008 Singapore Standard Time (UTC +8:00). After which, I will look through all the embassy forms. Due to limited space, it is based on the first-come, first-serve basis.

Update 8: Plans for Busiest Airport on Raffore Islands Yup. The update is now available. Presenting the plans for the busiest airport on Raffore Islands, Tourist City International Airport, or TOCIA (pronounced as Tock-e-ah) for short Some info about the airport: IATA code: RTC ICAO code: WTTC Located just outside the boundary of Tourist City Here's how it works for the Runway - Taxiway Layout Plan: Let's say a plane has touched down entering from the south side of the runway at one of the Western runway. Prior to that, any plane scheduled to take off must travel to the Taxiway Waiting Area located at the south (marked "A") and stay there until the plane is given the "go" signal to move onto its designated runway. The plane that touched down must then travel to the north Taxiway Waiting Area (marked "B") to exit the runways. This system it to reduce plane traffic congestion on the tarmac. Here's the draft layout of the different zones under the Terminal Layout Plan: the Orange Zones is obviously designated for shops and F&B outlets, while the Purple Zone is solely for car parks and hotels, with some area designated for commercial businesses. Both the Red and Blue Zones are for air travel purposes.

. Update 7.5: Teaser for new plans Well, good thing that I'm back. But, for now, I have decided to shift my focus which has lead to the delay of the Update for the Civil Unrest on Raffore Islands. But don't worry. I will try to get the update done. In the meantime, while on the long break, I have focus my attention to one of the busiest airport on Raffore Islands: Tourist City International Airport. For now, I can't reveal much about it, but I'm gonna show you all the plans for this airport which will be shown on my 8th update. Stay tune for the next update!

Nice airport! Love it that you create them using two different cities. Good job. Very innovative and creative! (Hey, just to tell you, you've spelled Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia wrongly. This is your spelling "Signapore, Thailan, Mylasia".)

. NEWS UPDATE . Due to the dropping of my academic grades across all subjects, I, Aran Ho, the creator of Raffore Islands, declare of the temporary closure of this CJ until further notice. For all of you supporters who kept on supporting my CJ, I thank you all of having such a great time reading and viewing my CJ. I may come back once in a while just to relieve some academic stress I may encounter, but I may not be around for most of the time. But, in any case, please do not lock this CJ. While I'm gone, please enjoy the updates of Raffore Islands currently posted on this CJ. And sorry for the increase suspense of the Raffore Civil Riots and Raffore War. Thank you all for being a great supporter of my CJ.

Sbah: Is it you can't find any HDB in STEX or can't find them in Singapore?
-
Ok. The picture link posted ( ) is not even in Singapore. In fact, it's in the neighbouring country's town called Johor Bahru. Also, Sembawang in real Singapore (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sembawang) is mostly bungalows and quite a few commercial buildings. In fact, the most common housing in Singapore is called the HDB Apartment Flats (more commonly known as HDB) where 90% of Singaporeans live in these HDBs. But more Asian buildings are located near and/or in the city (or known as CBD in Singapore). Just wait til Sbah move towards the city. And Shab, Sembawang is turning out great! Keep up the good work. Maybe you could take an overall view so that I can tell you what can you improve on so that your CJ will look more like Singapore! After all, I'm a Singaporean. Check out these links for more info on Singapore: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singapore http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Singapore
