American dominance to end by 2025 - US report
griffen_star replied to Aontan's topic in Current Events
Its kind of funny, everyone really gives these reports honest thought. To me, these reports have been coming out for decades now, none of them have been really all that true. Look at the economic reports for two years ago, look how much they were off by. Just four months ago economist were saying oil would hit 200$ a barrel in no time. Also, I doubt China & India will ever trully become powers in their own right. They're economies are to closely tied to ours, and the EU's. Look at the growing engineering field in India, 72% of the companies that are at the head of their field in India are US and European based companies. As for China, its a bubble economy, bubble's always burst. Though its hard to say when this will happen as the government of China has strict control over its economy (to the point where it can under value its currency). As for Russia. Please. Russia has seen its hay day, and anyone that says Russia is to become a super power, has yet to actually visit the country. I've been to Moscow, and yes it may be the most expensive city, but its also littered with homeless, pollution, and lack of u rban planning. I have to say, I don't see Russia becoming a large power, the world doesn't exactly accept Russia and I doubt that will change any time soon. And finally, the US actually is a lot stronger than many believe. Our culture is the dominant culture around the world, just look at any nation and you'll see our sphere of influence. To: belfastuniguy - Yes America was originally founded, and even filled with Europeans. But I think we've evoled outside of the Europeans. Both of our cultures offer immense things. I view Europe as more liberal, and having more human tolerance than America does (look at Gay Rights in both regions to see what I mean). Yet Americans have more of a sense of self, we don't have your bloody history, nor your sectionalistic views. I am a believer that America was a major factory in the defeat of the Axis powers in World War II. Britian was being constantly bombarded by Germany, and Churchill was the one to bring up talks with FDR to have America join the war. Americans at that time in history were tired of Europe's problems. Adolf Hilter wrote many lettters to Generals stating that he did not want America to join the way, as we Americans do have a sense of "switching to the cause" at a moments notice, plus we had immense resources that were mobilized and ready for it. Yes, America is arrogant. We're told to be. Look at how many times some poor 3rd world nation, or even another 1st world nation ask for our help. We helped Isreal build up its army, we gave France billions of dollars to adi in rebuilding after World War II, we helped Japan re-structure itself, we give billions of aid to countries almost every year. I don't look for a thank you, no Americans really do. But it does get slightly annoying when all you hear Europeans say is "Ugh, America is so arrogant, backwords, idiotic, and childish". A lot of Americans are starting to just say "Fine, take care of yourselves." -
Update 20 jacqulina - Thank you so much. I think I enjoy doing the newspapers more then anything else fabsies55 - Thanks, glad you like it. tankmank - Thanks so much! josue - Hahah its great to be back. Amerikaner - Haha well I have some new shots for you today. Hey Everyone, In todays update I'll be showing you some teaser shots of Tuva, the capital of Kreveshka. Its not finished yet, and I've been working on it for months now. I do usually pay attention to detail in most of my cities, but this one is the most detailed yet. Below is a new newspaper, and a few shots from what is already completed in the City. Next week I'll preview some more shots, but will be focusing on another town called Requiem - Annv Harbor. I hope you all like! Thanks -Griffen Here is the Prime Ministers home, what was once the Queen's City House. In the north portion of the picture you see the National Library and the Gu'vety Plaza. Here you see the Ambassador Building, which houses numerous smaller embassys. Also along side the building is the Yorteshyvien Plaza. Also the tall spiral building is the Kreveshkan National Bank building. Here is a small section of the Business District (Huuv District). I'm still working on it, but I must say I am very proud of it. The building in the center is the Kreveshkan Stock Exhcnage (KSE). I can not wait to show you the whole thing because its very detailed and represents what I'd like to think of as the "pearl" of Kreveshka. Well thats it! Please let me know what you think so far! -Griffen

My commute time and transportation infrastructure could reallyuse the help. It's a flipping mess right now. Insane Child of Bodom: Your CJ hmm? well I guess that would explain it. Guess i'll have to check out your CJ then for it. And you're right the mars pic is half way there. It's not even fully complete but i'm still trying my best to make it look halfway decent. and to minimize repetition of buildings as best as i can. Thanks for the rating. Edit: griffen_star: Lol posted at the same time, Thanks for the rating I'll still try to reduce repetetiveness by not making them to clustered however. And the "human tubes"? lol I thought they were some kind of monorail or el-rail system!! quote> Haha yes actually. I think it may have been Kei who made them? They are based off Futurama's tube network ha ha.

Here are my ratings Amerikaner - [Rating of 9/10] I love the spacious, yet clustered look. Though we need more french buildings on the STEX. scotty222 - [Rating 8/10] I love downtowns with detail, it seems you have a lot of detail! Good job! Insane Child of Bodom - [Rating 7/10] I love japanese BAT's! But it would be nicer to have a far out shot to get more detail of the surrounding region. The_sanderson - [Rating 7/10] I love the gleaming aspects of it. All the buildings seem to shimmer with the light enhancement. Yet I think there is just a bit too many trees. Most downtowns have trees along avenues, or in a park setting. haljackey - [Rating 6/10] I like the use of custom BAT's. But the Japanese Sakui BAT is out of place in that kind of present city. Also like I said before I love detail, the more details the better. Shadow_prophet - [Rating 9/10] I don't really care about the repetative nature. I know you had no control over it. I love the japanese human tubes ha ha. I always wondered how those could really fit into a city and now I know!

Mmm, I don't think many congrats to Canada can be given with this. Its a huge fact that Niagara Falls, Canada has seen a 42% drop in tourism this summer. Yet the American side of the falls has seen a huge increase. People are scared of Canada these days. Most Americans don't know if they need a passport or not and since the canadian dollar has risen it makes services that are already expensive in Canada even more expensive. And no, the value of the dollar can not be placed in the countries economy alone. Canada's economy has huge short comings compared to the US economy. The unemployment rate in Canada is huge, larger than the US will most likely ever become again Plus, the world market doesn't take Canadian exports very seriously concidering the lack of regulations in comparison to the US.

Wow! All these shots are beautiful. Here are two of mine from Resvoch from Republic of Kreveshka Thanks~!
-
I apologize for the number, it was taken from my CJ The Republic of Kreveshka. I know that most people will say the lack of water walls will be the cause of a low rating. But let me explain - In most eastern european cities that lye near water, without any port system tend to not have water walls because the focus of everything is more inward. Here we are!

Update 15 The Liirian Metro Region suplado - Actually the region is all in one (uts rather large) and there are four provinces to the nation. Thanks for the comment! jacqulina - Thank you so much for stopping by! ky72x - Haha I will try thank you! Yoman3 - I heard that from someone, I was told that I did make it. And I'll work on a whole celebration issue in an up and coming issue ONTO THE UPDATE In the next update: -Jaduvam (Gay) DIstrict -KNBS Radio Podcast 3 Thank you for all the comments!

Update 14 FavreKev04 - Picture of a lady in a red dress? Do you mean my icon on the SCJU site? Its from Cathy's House a hilarious skit from a japanese show. Ha ha well as much as many Americans like to think Europe only has one style of buildings, the newer buildings are very influenced by American and Western buildings. Just look at Frankfurt ha ha. Glad you liked everything! granto93 - I got the podcast to work now! Um..I just searched for rural and they came up haha? Amerikaner - Haha yeah the whole farm idea was that the soil is usually frozen, so large scale farms arn't a very real idea. Glad you liked everything! josue - Hahah thank you so much for the comment! ky72x - Thanks so much for the comment! MayorTim - I wish I had explained better the road system in Kreveshka. In Kreveshka all roads must be paved in standerds with the rest of the country (and I hate dirt roads ha ha, so ...dirty? ha ha) Thank you for the advice! I'll try the new water type! suplado! - Thanks so much! pipishere - Haha thank you, it took forever! jacqulina - I'm glad you enjoyed everything so much! EXCUSE I apologize for the lack of updates. I have been trying to re-create Liir and Tuva at the same time and its draining ha ha. I'm such a stickler for each city in the country having a unique style and its hard to built two cities at once and make them look completely different. So as I still work on the cities here is a little update. I made a new map because I added a few towns to the map, and I've decided to give a little promo of the providences. ONTO THE UPDATE Over View of the Provinces. Offical Name: Kreveshkan Providence Population: 2.9 Million Capital: Tuva Metro Region Largest City: Tuva Metro Region(1.4 Million) Offical Name: Boushc Providence Population: 25,000 Capital: Rechvoch Largest City: Huun Huur Tu(12,000) Offical Name: Hura Providence Population: 3.2 Million Capital: Liirian Metro Region Largest City: Liir(2.3 Million) Offical Name: Jtkleven Providence Population: 1.8 Million Capital: Sonatava & Ichvoch Metro Center Largest City: Sonatava(1.2 Million) Thank you all for the comments!

Update 12 Life in Atvenbranka cleaner475 - I got the apartment complexes off a japanese BAT website. Go to the Massive Gigantic Japanese BAT Exchange on the forums here. They should have everything you need! jacqulina - Thank you so much for the comment! Amerikaner - Thank you so much for the comment. I loved how to defended the DIA Nuclear Program against the SCJU. josue - Ah thank you, I'm proud of Atvenbranka. Haha yes, Russian and Bulgarian culture is so odd towards homosexuality. But like I said before, I'm glad Sofia at least has a gay district. waldner - Thank you! ky72x - Haha thank you, though no newspaper this week. I'll be doing another radio broadcast tonight pipishere - Thank you so much for the comment! *****atoo-210893 - Ah I know about the new aiports. I'm planning on doing an update about the Aiport's "Re-Birth" with the new BATs. I'm glad you like the updates! homeandaway - I'm glad you like it so much, thanks for the comment! CarmineHilton - Ha ha yes, that is my voice. And thank you -blushes- I'm glad you liked it all! granto93 - Haha we'll have to see about a trade aggrement. Wonderful preview shots! I expect a Buffalo-Niagara Falls region simple because of the large amounts of BATs on the STEX. And mayhaps you wouldn't mind sturring some trouble up the Republic of Kreveshka (they already have a rocky relationship with the US) Keep up the good work!

Wow your photoshopping skills are amazing~! I love the Romanian city (though living near Romania, they don't have many skyscrapers ha ha) but wow, I love this CJ!
-
Wow I'm very impressed! I can't wait to see some medium to high development, and some white buildings that are so popular is Israel! Awesome job!
-
Update 9 - Atvenbranka cleaner475 - Haha thank you,I love that BAT is so befitting this region. Thanks for the comment! josue - Ah you like Royksopp too? I also prefer their older stuff, yet that one song has me hooked. Ah yes, its a pity about Moscow. In sofia we don't have a gay pride parade either, yet we have a gay destrict. As part of the EU we have to have more of an open atmosphere to gay and lesbians (very good thing XD). Though they are odd here, and say homosexuality is wrong, yet they're obsessed with Azis a 45yr old obese cross dressing gay singer. Haha so odd Thank you for the comment! Benedict - And here you are, ha ha. Thank you so much for stopping by! Sim_Air - Wow, thank you so much! I blush~! Rather than an update I have this for you! Onto the actual update! Thats all for now! In the next update: -More of Atvenbranka -Day in life of Atvenbranka's Working Man -Mtchovin - Cross Strait

Wow, amazing city. Though if I could offer some advice, I lived in Tokyo for 5 years and I noticed the usage of trees (I do believe that hideki.net has some cherry blossom tree sets) and also the usage of sea walls would be nice. Can't wait to see how the japanese residential areas are layed out!
