Hey everyone, I did a search and couldn't find a thread similar to this one, so I decided to post my question. I'm just curious as to how many plug-ins everyone has downloaded. I have 1.06GB of plug-ins that need to re-organize ---- How to find the Plugins folder -> goto C:\Documents and Settings\< your user account >\My Documents\SimCity 4 -> find the Plugins folder and right-click on it -> select Properties -> look at the Size attribute. Please vote on the poll, thanks!

I missed out on the beta but from what I've been reading, citiesxl is definitely not a day one buy for me now. I was really looking forward to this game based on the trailers but I've have to wait for the reviews first now.

I run simcity4 on my mid-range laptop, (Toshiba A100, CoreDuo T5500, 2GB DDR2 mem, Intel950 GMA vid chipset) and it works fine if you don't count the faulty plug-ins crashes ... haha. I have over a 1gb of plug-ins and haven't had time to fix it. Before I started installing all the plug-ins, it was working smoothly. Did you install any plugins? Maybe the crashes were due to faulty plugins?

How is the hospital coverage? Are the residential zones fully covered? Also, what's the doctor/patient ratio? Do you have enough doctors? Could you provide a screenshot of the area. Maybe I can provide a better answer. Give it some time, it takes a while for the effects to set in.

This region took me forever to build up the surrounding cities. I recently started work on the capital city (large map) and it currently has 400k. I'm hoping that the pop. will exceed 1mil for that large map. Here are some screenshots of the region: East side West side

Hmm, I've never tried it myself. I think it will work but the quickest way to confirm is to try it out. There are some articles online that talk about other control elements in SC4 such as joystick and gamepad.
