I'm so glad I found this forum/thread. I've loved these games from the very first verison, but haven't been able to play SC4 Deluxe on my new Thinkpad T60p despite my best efforts. My old Dell notebook (with an nvidia 7800gtx) threw the game around like a rag doll. My Thinkpad (with an ATI mobility v5250/x1700 256mb and a core2duo) crashes moments after selecting a square from the region, requiring a reboot. All updated drivers, etc., despite graphics settings I set it to software rendering and assigned it to one CPU, and all is well so far! I'm just about to play for a while, see if it overheats or whatever it was doing.. Thanks for your help
