  1. Simcity newbie questions

    5) Region view: when I click on a city I see the amount of residents, industrial jobs and commercial jobs. Should they add up ? I mean, in a perfectly good city the amount of jobs = amount of residents, or only the percentage of work-force residents ?quote>No, the premise of the regional idea is that sims can live in one city tile and work in another. quote> I think I didn't phrase myself correctly. Imagine I have only one city in a region, and it says 6K residents, 3K jobs. Does it mean there are 3K unemployed residents ? I imagine not all residents are supposed to work (children, elderly people). Is there some model of workforce size versus general population, or is it simplified to "each resident must have a work place" ? Hope this is clearer now. Thanks a lot for all the answers
  2. Hello fellow SimCity 4 players, I'm a newbie to the game (though I have experience with previous SC versions) and have a few questions. If I'm hitting on FAQs here I apologize in advance. 1) Region view: when creation new regions, can I pick the region size and the size and orientation of city chunks ? 2) Is there region terrain auto-generation available ? 3) Is there a way to cancel the auto street-placement when zoning RCI ? 4) It seems that after some time I'm being forced to change the streets inside neighborhoods to roads, is this normal procedure in any city ? 5) Region view: when I click on a city I see the amount of residents, industrial jobs and commercial jobs. Should they add up ? I mean, in a perfectly good city the amount of jobs = amount of residents, or only the percentage of work-force residents ? There's also a star there, what does it mean ? 6) Are there any custom community add-ons that are considered must-have ? Thanks in advance !
