    CrazyFinger, I do hope that your last sentence was not serious. Although I wasn't born anywhere near Atlanta, I've lived here for some 15-ish years, being 18 now. But anyway, Atlanta is indeed hilly, especially in the north Metro Area where I live. Quite a nice place if you don't mind "Atlanta Weather" -- my name for our totally unpredictable weather that can change from pouring to sunny and back in less than a half hour....

    Hi all! I am an Amtrak fan...therefor I have tons of knowlege on this topic but, introduction aside... I disagree, the engines (like the one shown, P42 Genesis) is about 1-2 feet taller than the heritage baggage. (the standard on most Amtrak trains) In fact the baggage car is about a half foot taller than the passenger cars (except the Viewliner (single level sleeper, and the heritage diner, and the Dorm-Lounge crew sleeper).
