  1. The Burning Question Thread

In the Cities XL saves, I notice a demo city called capital_city.sav. Since I am a horrible city builder and my Planet Offer expired, I decided I'd look at the city to get an idea on building cities. But then I figure out that there is clearly no way to load .sav files. Anyone have an idea?
  2. Would you want power lines in Cities XL ??? (with poll)

I like power lines (as a detail), but hate the hassle. If Cities XL were to have power lines, they would automatically appear when you build roads, with the exception of high tension wires, which I am in favor of.
  3. How do you build highways?

    Please let me know.
  4. Highways & Bridges - Bug ... ?

Can someone tell me how to build highways?
  5. Highways & Bridges - Bug ... ?

How do you build highways? For me the button is grayed out.
  6. The Mass Transit Discussion Thread

I have a question: How do you get highways? Is this Planet Offer only?
  7. Money Issues

I need help. I cannot get a city passed 75,000 without going bankrupt. Those exucutive people want this and want that and if you don't suit them they won't settle in your city. The game is new. This means that there are no guides or anything. Maybe someone can explain more about this to me. Also, pollution is a big problem. What are "parks?" Decorations? It's hard to include them all the time. Also, another thing I don't like is the fact that either people haven't found a cheat yet, or there are no cheats at all. CheatHappens has a trainer, but even though I like cheats, I'm not paying 20 bucks a month for a little trainer thingy. So, for now, I'll just stand in wonder how people get to 2,000,000 people, and I can't pass the 100,000 mark. Can someone explain some more about this to me? Also, another thing: What's the fastest way to get a city from 0 to 100,000? Please respond.
  8. Cities XL Question

Monte Cristo has a solid history of not making 64 bit comptatible games when I ran City Life: World Edition it said "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher." After I preloaded Cities XL after pre-ordering it, I was wondering if I could run in solo anyway. So I ran the program, and it said the exact same thing. The demo worked fine for me. I hope this message is just some temporary thing and not a something that made me waste 40 bucks pre-ordering the game.
  9. Cities XL Question

Hey. I run windows vista 64 bit and City Life: World Edition won't work for me. Does this mean Cities XL won't work? I paid 40 bucks to pre-order it, I don't want to come to the conclusion that Cities XL doesn't run on 64 bit vista.
