Thank you so much for your help. I am able to utilize all the lots now and they will be featured prominently in my CJ GTA San Andreas.

1. NAM- make sure you view the readme before installing 2. A good terrain mod- Columbus terrain mod is great! 3. Water mod- Pegasus has some good ones 4. SAM- for different types of streets Tip- read through some of the city journal's. Gives you lots of great ideas. I like Anduin Valley Revisited in the City Journal hall of fame section. Peg's seaports are great and just browse through the STEX.

Thank you for your replies and support: anarchy0029- thank you roboo1- thank you simsmart- I have seen the map before and have used it a little, but my main point of reference is from the actual game itself on my PS2 jugioh1012- you are too kind, now if I could get some diagonal brideges and seaports, etc. I wouls really be on point panthersimcity4- Yes, San Fierro will probably be the most beautiful part of the region city2TheMax- Las Venturas will be a pleasure to do because it is the most grid friendly part of the map and should be easy, I wish I had some bat knowledge to make the casinos psander5- the Badlands will be tough because of Mount Chiliad and the terraforming, wish the mapping team could help me out edmonton_stinks- Thank you, to get a better appreciation I wish you would check out the actual game yuxi- Thanks rct3twins- I'm going on fabsie55- Thanks for the suggestion, I tried something with paint.net let's see if it works rusty777- I will remain patient as I am trying to get this as close as possible I am relying heavily on the work of many great batters and modders. I wish there was more work on diagonal lots such as seaports, rail, etc. If anyone knows where I could download this please direct me. I was dissatisfied with the original region so I started over. I removed the tunnels and rail to the seaport and have added 1 additional bridge. The main reason was too create a region with 4 large cities instead of 9 medium cities. It just makes a better flow (Los Santos airport would have been cutoff and the downtown section would not have an airport on the same city tile which would stunt the growth of the commercial district). I am also disappointed that I could not find a dome to place in the stadium section. Please direct me if you know of one. As always feedback is well received as is suggestions. This is my first city journal and I am a relative novice at this and need all the help I can get.

I would recommend a good terrain mod. The Columbus terrain mod is excellent. Also a water mod, Peg has several good ones. Cycledogg's trees are available on the STEX, the mixed seasonal woods is a good one. Check out peg's seaport work. Simpeg is a good site. The NAM is essential. Learn about levelling terrain, there are some great tutorials on this site. I am still a novice, but I learned the most by just reading through the City Journals. Go to the City Journal Hall of Fame. Anduin Valley revisited is awesome and has some great tutorials. Good luck. -
I have completed the seaport and industrial area of Los Santos, although I may revisit this area later. As you can see I am using some of Peg's great creations. I use a lot of concrete fillers which will give it a more industrial look. It kind of stands out now, but once development begins it should blend in nicely. I have placed a tunnel where a diagonal bridge in the game would be. I have also taken the liberty of expanding rail into the seaport area. On the edges of the picture you can see Los Santos International Airport and the beach at Playa Del Seville.

I have been a gaming enthusiast since the early 80's. With this journal I pay tribute to one of my all time favorites, GTA San Andreas. I spent many hours creating the map and will have to hand terraform mountains, hills, etc. It won't be 100% realistic due to limitations (diagonal bridges) and I will take creative liberties when needed to make the gameplay more SC4 friendly. Comments are welcome. In this first picture you can see the region map with early development in Los Santos. More to come.

Official Mapping Community Requests

If someone could please make a map of GTA San Andreas I would greatly appreciate it. 16 Large city tiles. Terrain will be tricky, but there are plenty of resources on the internet as well as the game itself. -
creating STEX regions w/o using sc4

Try downloading the SC4Mapper. You can then edit the terrain with the terraformer. There is more info on these tools on this site. -
I deleted the old version and tried to download the new one and I get the following message: You have entered invalid data ! The following seems incorrect ... Download Quota for this lot has been exceeded ... Any suggestions?
