  1. Do farms help the Environment?

    As for pollution of the water pipes, yes this is true also. Don't believe it? Try placing that expensive water pump in a mostly agricultural area, and it will get shut down almost immediately. All those simoleons wasted, shame! For my Farm cities, I always use imported water. The pollution barriers at the edge of the city prevent my pumps from being shut down by pollution from the farm city.---------------- I have to say that if you place your pumps in an area of the city which does not have water pollution, you can water the farms (though the point of that seems nil). It works the same way with heavy-polluter industries. Water pollution doesn't seem to travel through pipes. Just keep the pump itself away from the water pollution and you'll be fine, I've done it dozens of times. You might have to move the pump if pollution expands, however, so keep your eye on the water pollution map.
