    I'm a resident of theplanet Mars, but have found the great Lakes Region very fascinating when I gaze through my telescope at Earth.

    I had to resize it slightly (North-South) to make it work with the large city sizes. No other way to do it without cropping out a huge section of the map.

    You will also find the map's been extensively smoothed for better playability. All lakes are also at a realistic deep depth, all the while you have wonderful beachfront proeperty to work with too.

    This is based off a satellite image I purchased just to make this map. You have the opportunity to actually recreate the Mackinaw Bridge! This map is to scale, and includes all the major lakes and rivers of the area.

    The scale is stright from a satellite, so not sure how it could be "way off". I put a little lake in the middle so if you start in the middle of Michigan, you ca build a nice little rich community there. :-)

    I changed the file to a zip because the web compression here made the file too small for Simcity to read properly.

    This is the Great Lakes Region taken from a weather satellite. There's an extra lake in the middle of Michigan just for fun.
