Wow, since I posted last on this topic, I've only read crazy idealogies and catastrophies that have extremely slim chances of happening. The only exception is Simfox's prediction(s) which actually take into account current situations without putting personal feelings and national pride in the way.

Photoshopped the taxis and avenues? Wow, that's some really great work. The taxis you have in your CJ are extremely realistic, I can even see the "Ford" logo on the trunks of the Crown Vics. The avenues are looking really good, but just a little constructive criticism: Maybe try making the textures in the road blend together a bit nicer (if possible). I'm thinking that you were going for a realistic look because no road is perfect, but maybe more subtle road details would work better (small potholes and the liking). And thanks, I'm really looking forward to going to New York, I'm sure there'll be lots to do.

Wow, this is awesome work, I'm visiting New York in the summer so I was searching around for some really great CJs, and yours caught my attention. A couple questions though: -How did you get 3-lane 1-way roads? -How did you get so many taxis on the road?
  4. the Golden Gate in 2050

Wow great! Like the others said, wires and little debris would make it amazing. Really great!
  5. WII park

I was really hoping to see the elegant blue light around the Wii disc slot. Also try using a more relevant floor texture, the grass doesn't fit in very well.

^Ditto. Imageshack is the easiest option for you, in my opinion.

Human pollution literally? Because you do realize that each breathe cycle you take releases carbon dioxide into the air? I don't know about Vancouver having the tallest, it's a possibility, but it's more likely to be in Toronto or Montreal. I don't think immigration patterns would fluctuate dramatically all at once, but it could increase over the years due to overcrowding in China and Japan (which is guaranteed) and the easy ocean access to Canada and mainly Vancouver. Personally, I think that Vancouver will be attractive to visitors because of its extremely diverse culture, extravagent scenery (mountains and ocean), and the fact that it's been rated as the #1 city to live in the world. Vancouver has extreme potential, and all it needs is a slightly larger workforce and international recognition to be made public.

I highly doubt that Edmonton's population will QUINTUPLE within 44 years. A more probably prediction for Edmonton's population (as I live here and know the trends) would be somewhere around 1 - 1.5 million with a metro of 1.5 - 2 million. The other 90% of your other population predictions are quite impossible as well. The only one that is plausible is Toronto. Edmonton will not be a world city, and West Edmonton Mall will be surpassed in size by many malls in China, and one that is being constructed in Dubai. Vancouver will NOT have the highest skyscraper, as the Burj Dubai which will be completed in 2008, will be between 700 - 900 m tall. And I think that it is highly unlikely that an 'ice storm' will eliminate millions of people. No more pollution? That is literally impossible, forest fires can pollute, and pollution remaining from now will still linger in the air. The populations you have proposed would look more in place in the year 2100 - 2150. I am not flaming you, just trying to tell you that though you may WISH that Canada be like that in 44 years, chances are likely that it will come nowhere close.

I'm not too sure about the 5 km tall buildings... that's kind of a stretch. Maybe buildings exceeding 1 km, and only a few of them. If anyone's seen the movie I, Robot, I think by 2050, things will be a bit like that as I highly doubt that by 2035 we will have that kind of technology. I see Canada as still having a very low population (in terms of people/sq km) but cities like Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto will be growing rapidly. Vancouver might have anywhere between 2 - 4 million (metro area) with Calgary reaching around 2 million metro, and Toronto's metro coming close to or exceeding 10 million. India and China will be superpowers, it's almost guaranteed. Their combined population will make up close to half the Earth's population (It's quite close to half the world's population currently) and they will each have the capability of beating the USA in a war (Though it's unlikely that there will be another world war). In the city of Edmonton (where I currently live), I think that not a lot will change compared to other parts of the globe. The population might be close to 1.5 million metro, and 5 - 10 major skyscrapers may be constructed that are above 150 m. Edmonton has a lot of land, so it's quite unneccesary for tall structures to be built. I think that Edmonton will have an extremely large area by 2050, possibly one of the largest of any city on the globe. West Edmonton Mall (Either the first or second largest mall in the world right now) will lose its title that's been held for close to 30 years, but will be expanded to include a greater array of facilities and still be the city's main attraction. As for space travel, I think that many space stations will be constructed between 2020 and 2050, due to technological advances that make it more affordable and efficient. The shuttle will be replaced with a more efficient form of reuseable transportation that not only has more cargo area, but a much higher speed of travel, allowing for quick journeys to and from the moon. The moon will have possibly 1 - 10 base camps (depending on the size of each) with a lunar population of approximately 100 - 5000, with the majority being land surveyors and scientists. We will learn how to excavate materials from the moon and other heavenly bodies nearby because of the rapid loss of space on Earth. Mars will have been reached by humans, and though we will have capabilities of reaching Jupiter, the asteroid field poses a threat, and stronger shuttles will be needed to survive the journey.

Is it possible for someone to create the BMW Headquarters building and the BMW Museum in the following picture?
  11. Our Mini Earth

I'm going to have to go with Toronto, Winnipeg, and the liking. Would be nice to see the CN Tower put to great use

Amazing recreation of Dubai... Is Toronto in your schedule sometime in the future as well?
  13. The Capital of the World!

Has anyone thought of creating an island on the intersection of the Equator and Greenwich Line? It is literally the center of the surface, and since the area is not controlled by any country, it would be the perfect place. And because of its central location, Europe, Africa, North America, and South America would have easy access to it. And to build it, there would have to be a joint international effort, further symbolizing it as the World Capitol.
  14. Standard Insurance Plaza

Very unique and realistic design. Only thing I don't like is the boxy shape.
