You're all forgetting that these were the sales numbers for November. Socieites wasn't even on the shelves for an entire moth when that was released. I'm not suprised SC4 outsold SCS, but that will probably be different for December. the way I look at it EA isn't even close in being done with this game, and Titled Mill will have less involvement with this in the coming months. I see that as the bad thing about Societies.
Maxis is still its own entity there is 2 separate studios still. One for general games (that is the official one) and the one Will Wright used to experiment and start off Spore's development, currently both teams are working on Spore and the other one is working on the Sims 2 and 3.
I personally don't consiter this a part of the main SimCity series but more of a spin off as the Sims originally was. I am excited to see this game and all the concepts in it, granted CL had a similar scheme SC:S seems to go into it on a much more deeper dynamic level. I plan to buy it on the first day and have already reserved the game, I'm not shure what to expect so I'm not fearing disappointment.
The next step up was $100 more than buying two at the time, and I've disabled SLI and it didn't help at all. All the other non-SLI games i commonly play work fine.
I have over 2gigs of RAM and two 8600GT's in SLI with an Athlon 64 X2 4200+ (2.2 GHz) and I am having similar problems except the game slows down whenever it has to modify the terrain. This just started after my last reformat, which was about 1 week after i got the two 8600GT's. I'm not shure if its the 8600GT's or something else. Btw. I have 4096 - 10256MB of pagefiles.
